The Engineering department supports Fluxys' activities by carrying out engineering and design studies for both natural gas transmission facilities and infrastructure dedicated to other molecules, such as hydrogen and CO₂. For our Engineering department at our headquarters in Brussels, we are looking for a Piping Designer (m/f/x). Your responsibilities
• You carry out design studies for our transmission facilities (natural gas, hydrogen, CO₂, etc.) based on project requirements and applicable technical standards and codes.
• You prepare piping drawings and documentation, including layout plans, bills of materials, permit documentation, construction drawings and isometrics.
• In your designs, you take into account aspects such as ergonomics, practical feasibility, safety and cost.
• You are responsible for monitoring the progress and ensuring the quality of various engineering studies.
• You contribute to the standardization of concepts and materials and incorporate technical feedback into designs.
• You help ensure the quality and accuracy of asset data through as-built documentation. About you
• You hold a Bachelor's degree in a technical field or have equivalent experience.
• You have at least 2 years of relevant experience and broad multidisciplinary technical knowledge, preferably gained in an industrial or chemical environment.
• Experience with piping/pipelines in (petro)chemical or industrial facilities is an asset.
• You have strong interpersonal and communication skills and are able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• You have a results-oriented, structured and detail-focused approach.
• You are able to work well under pressure and manage several projects simultaneously.
• You have a strong commitment to safety.
• You have an excellent command of Dutch and a good command of French and English.
• You have solid knowledge of 2D and/or 3D design software, such as MicroStation, AutoCAD, Plant 3D, or similar tools. Additional requirements
• A valid Category B driving licence.
