We are looking for a Mendix Low-Code Expert to join a major international IT project within a European institutional environment in Brussels.
You will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining secure, scalable and accessible business applications using Mendix. Working within an Agile and multidisciplinary environment, you will collaborate with business analysts, UX/UI specialists, testers and project teams to transform business requirements into robust digital solutions.
The role also involves enterprise integrations, application security, reusable components, testing, deployment and production support.
Your Role:
As a Mendix Low-Code Expert, you will:
• Translate business requirements and user stories into robust Mendix applications.
• Design domain models, workflows, user interfaces and application security roles.
• Develop integrations with internal and external systems using REST APIs, database connectors and enterprise authentication mechanisms.
• Work with authentication technologies such as SAML and OIDC.
• Develop reusable Mendix modules, widgets and components.
• Contribute to shared development standards and best practices.
• Apply secure-by-design principles, role-based access control and data-protection requirements.
• Develop accessible interfaces in line with WCAG 2.1 AA standards.
• Write unit and automated tests and participate in code reviews.
• Monitor application quality and contribute to the management of technical debt.
• Support deployments, release management and third-level production support.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of Mendix development practices. The Profile We Are Looking For: We are looking for a highly experienced Mendix Developer / Low-Code Expert with a strong software-development background and proven experience delivering enterprise applications. You should have:
• At least 5 years of IT development experience.
• At least 3 years of hands-on Mendix development experience.
• Mendix Advanced Developer certification or higher.
• Experience delivering at least two Mendix applications into production.
• Practical experience with Mendix 10 or later.
• Experience integrating Mendix applications with enterprise systems.
• Experience with on-premises and/or private-cloud environments.
• Working knowledge of Java and JavaScript, particularly for custom Mendix actions, widgets or extensions.
• Experience working in Scrum or another Agile development framework.
• Strong understanding of application security, testing, integration, maintainability and software-development best practices.
• English at C1 level. Key
