Feeding Hong Kong is a Hong Kong registered charity with a mission to reduce the amount of quality food being sent to our landfills, feed charities and drive change. Each day, we collect high quality food that would otherwise be thrown away, sort and store it, and then redistribute it to a network of welfare organisations, who in turn feed thousands of people in need. Feeding Hong Kong also works to raise awareness about poverty and food insecurity in Hong Kong and promote healthy eating and nutritional education to the most vulnerable groups in our community. We are an accredited member of the Global Food Banking Network, an international organisation dedicated to creating and strengthening food banks and national food bank networks. We are now seeking a right candidate who is passionate in charity sector to support the Food Sourcing Team development and reporting directly to the Food Sourcing Director, key roles are:
• To support the Food Sourcing Team in working with the food industry to provide a growing volume of surplus product to the charities that Feeding Hong Kong (FHK) supports;
• To identify and develop new relationships, and strengthen existing relationships with product donors;
• To Support Food Sourcing team to ensure the smooth flow of product donations from the food industry to our charity network.
• To support new project development for Food Sourcing team;
• To work closely with key stakeholders to plan, organise and implement FHK food sourcing projects;
• To support food sourcing projects and conduct needs and outcome assessment to measure and enhance project relevance and effectiveness to bring about quality service and standards. Responsibilities
• Support key personnel with research relevant that will help the organisation drive success and engage the relevant internal departments;
• Provide admin support to the Food Sourcing Team including creating presentation decks, posters, reports or other promotional materials;
• Prepare for meetings with potential partners and be competent in effectively presenting the benefits of working with FHK to potential clients;
• Provide support in telemarketing, exhibitions, events and FHK site visits.
• Provide support to the Food Sourcing Team to manage projects with existing or developing key accounts, and provide support and assistance to the development of those partnerships;
• Coordinate with Operations and Charity team in food donation receiving and ensure a smooth flow of product donations from the food industry to our charity network;
• Facilitate and support FHK Direct Pick-Up (DPU) projects to optimise food sharing across the 18 districts;
• Support and maintain data collection, analyse data and share reports internally and externally on a regular basis to ensure that team decisions are data-based.
• Assist with other activities of the organisation as required;
• Responsible for developing and maintaining databases;
• Analyse data and identify opportunities to support reporting improvements.
• Be accountable for and report to the Food Sourcing Manager;
• Work with volunteers and interns when needed Qualifications and Experience
• Bachelor degree in all fields of study, ideally 1-year work experience in the food retail or wholesale sector, fresh graduate welcome;
• Fluent written and spoken Chinese (Cantonese) and English;
• Communicate effectively in a range of forms and demonstrate excellent presentation skills;
• Good numerical and critical thinking skills;
• To be fully committed to the mission of FHK to reduce food waste, feed charities and drive change. Able to:
• Establish strong working relationships with Feeding Hong Kong stakeholders;
• Communicate effectively in a range of forms and demonstrate excellent presentation skills;
• Set priorities, organise and manage a demanding workload and monitor project progress towards achieving objectives;
• Enthuse and motivate individuals and groups;

• Strong computer skills e.g. Microsoft Office, Canva. Work
