Job Purpose This role is designed to bring strong technical expertise to campus operations, focusing on network infrastructure, server maintenance, IT security, and workflow automation using AI and scripting. In addition to core IT operations, the specialist will oversee smart library operations, optimize digital learning resources, and integrate technology into reading promotion initiatives while flexibly supporting ad-hoc campus requirements.

Key Responsibilities
1. Server, Infrastructure & Advanced IT Support — 55%
• Network & Infrastructure Administration: Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot campus LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi systems, routers, switches, Firewalls, and VPNs; maintain core network services including DHCP, DNS, and Active Directory (AD) / LDAP.
• Server & Virtualization Management: Deploy, manage, and optimize Windows/Linux servers; handle regular system backups, disaster recovery, and patch management.
• AI & Automation Scripting: Develop automation scripts (using Python, Shell, or JavaScript) to streamline school administrative processes; introduce and maintain Generative AI tools and workflow automation.
• Cloud & Identity Management: Manage user access, permissions, and API integrations across Google Workspace for Education, Microsoft 365, and School Management Systems (SIS/LMS).
• Helpdesk & AV Support: Provide first-line IT support for staff and students (Windows, macOS, iOS, Android), and deliver technical/AV support for campus events, assemblies, and hybrid meetings. 2. Smart Library Operations, Digital Resources & Reading Promotion — 25%
• LMS & Digital Resource Management: Maintain the Library Management System (LMS) database; ensure smooth API integration and access control for digital cataloging, e-books, and online academic databases.
• Tech-Driven Reading Promotion: Leverage multimedia design, digital platforms, and AI tools to organize innovative reading activities (e.g., thematic book fairs, author talks, e-reading weeks).
• Library Operations: Handle daily library administration including book cataloging, labeling, asset tagging, physical/digital inventory audits, and circulation management while maintaining an orderly study environment. 3. Clerical Administration, Asset Management & Cross-Departmental Support — 20%
• General Administrative & Clerical Support: Handle daily departmental paperwork, filing, data entry, document scanning, and archiving; assist in drafting, proofreading, and circulating IT and library-related notices, user guides, and meeting minutes.
• IT Asset & Vendor Management: Maintain accurate inventory records for hardware, software licenses, and library collections; coordinate with external vendors for equipment repairs, renewals, and procurement.
• Cross-Departmental Support: Collaborate with school administration on end-of-term asset audits, and flexibly handle ad-hoc tasks and support assigned by management.  Job Requirements

Education:
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, Software Engineering, or related disciplines.

Experience:
• 1–3 years of experience in network operations, system administration, or tech industry IT support is preferred.

Skills:
• Networking & Servers: Proficient in TCP/IP, VLANs, Routing & Switching, Wi-Fi architectures, and Windows/Linux server management.
• Coding & AI: Basic proficiency in scripting/programming (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell, JavaScript); hands-on interest in AI tools and API integrations is highly desirable.
• System Administration: Familiar with Google Workspace for Education and Microsoft 365 Admin Centers.
• Administrative & Clerical Proficiency: Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides) for document formatting, spreadsheet management, and general data handling.
• Library Systems: Familiarity with Library Management Systems (LMS) or database operation is a plus.
• Language Proficiency: Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin) to communicate effectively with diverse staff and students.
• Personal Attributes: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, service-oriented mindset, proactive, highly adaptable, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
