We are searching for a communications professional with public relations and social media experience in the Chinese Mainland market to join our Hong Kong-based team. We need a creative, strategic storyteller and social media manager to lead client engagement with media and KOLs and create high-quality written content across channels. Your objective is to lead day-to-day client partnerships, driving strategy development and creative thinking to ensure exceptional results. You take pride in motivating your team to excellence. • Integrated Communications: Create, plan and implement integrated communications strategy for clients, including public relations, content, social media, influencer marketing, and events
- based on intelligence, data and insights.
• Strategy Development: Integrated strategy development from campaign ideas to issues management.
• Content Creation: Develop creative content strategy; Ensure content is relevant and accurate, with impactful SEO-friendly narratives for media, social media and digital marketing.
• WeChat Copywriting & Operations: WeChat content creation and daily operational support, including Xiumi content layout, editing, and updates.
• Influencer/Social Activation: Actively use Xiaohongshu (RED), WeChat, and Douyin, and support hands-on work in influencer marketing and branded content collaboration.
• Media & Influencer Relations: Know the media, and secure high-level features and placements in the most prominent traditional and new media titles nationally and regionally
• Client Leadership: Counsel clients on overall brand reputation management and industry best practice; Own front-line client relationships, providing strategic and tactical advice, and take full responsibility for long-term client partnerships.
• Client Relationship: End-to-end management of client accounts, driving strategic planning through to implementation and delivery of results.
• Research & Analysis: Conduct market and industry research, competitor analysis, and government policy research to support messaging and PR/social strategies. REQUIREMENTS OF THE CANDIDATE
• Native Mandarin speaker with exceptional Simplified Chinese writing skills. Excellent written and spoken English language skills. Cantonese/Traditional Chinese is a bonus.
• Must have 4-6 years of experience in a PR, communications or marketing agency.
• Previous responsibility for content, PR, social media and influencer marketing.
• Branded content creation experience for Mainland China social media platforms is mandatory.
• Established GBA and national media relationships.
• Bachelor’s degree, or above, in communications, journalism or a related field.
