We are looking for several Senior Functional Technical Analysts to join the Risk & Finance teams in the Technology department running the systems behind credit risk, finance and accounting, liquidity, exposure and regulatory reporting.
In this role, you translate business and regulatory needs into functional and technical specifications, data models and test scenarios and help designing the solutions.
Key responsibilities
• Gather and analyse business requirements with Risk, Finance and Regulatory Reporting stakeholders, and turn them into clear functional and technical specifications.
• Define source-to-target mappings, transformation rules and data lineage across source systems, the DWH and reporting layers.
• Run impact analyses on changes in the data chain, and document dependencies so teams understand what a change affects downstream.
• Write and run SQL queries to analyse data, investigate incidents and validate data quality.
• Prepare test scenarios, support system and acceptance testing, and coordinate with testers and business users.
• Work with developers, architects and solution designers in an agile delivery setup, and act as a technical point of contact on projects when needed.
• Contribute to data governance and BCBS 239 principles: data definitions, lineage, quality controls and documentation.
Your profile
• 5+ years of experience as a Functional Analyst, BI Analyst, Technical Analyst or Solution Designer, with at least part of it in banking or insurance.
• Strong experience in data modelling and data warehousing (DWH concepts, dimensional modelling, ETL/ELT flows, APIs).
• Solid SQL
skills:
you query and analyse data yourself rather than relying on developers.
• Experience writing functional and technical specifications, mappings and test cases.
• Comfortable working with both business and IT, and able to explain complex data flows simply.
• Fluent in English, plus French or Dutch. A previous experience in the following domains is a major asset:
• Accounting and finance systems
• Asset & Liability Management (ALM) and liquidity
• Credit risk and credit risk monitoring
• Risk calculation engines
• BCBS 239, data governance and data lineage
• Regulatory reporting
