About the role
CTTI is seeking a Solution Director to lead the architecture, presales and integration of enterprise solutions across multiple vendors. Working with the Product Director and the Product, Direct Sales, Channel Sales and Technical teams, you will translate go-to-market priorities into solutions that can be demonstrated, quoted, delivered and supported. You will lead the technical work while personally building and troubleshooting key integrations. Initial focus areas include secure workplace solutions, private cloud and infrastructure transformation, with further solutions developed around customer needs.
Key responsibilities
· Work with the Product Director to set solution priorities and technical roadmaps. Develop standard solution packages for target customers and provide feedback on feasibility, cost, delivery time and customer requirements.
· Lead the presales process from discovery and technical workshops to architecture, proposals, RFI and RFP responses, demonstrations, proofs of concept (PoCs) and technical clarification, supporting Sales in progressing opportunities.
· Design solutions across applications, operating systems, virtualisation, servers, networking, storage, backup, identity security and operations platforms. Define bills of materials (BOMs), sizing, interfaces and version compatibility requirements.
· Personally build demo and PoC environments, configure integrations, use APIs or scripts, analyse logs, troubleshoot and test. Document repeatable deployment, migration and rollback procedures.
· Work directly with vendor presales, engineering and support teams to obtain technical documentation, evaluation licences and support information. Drive joint testing, compatibility validation, defect resolution and technical escalation.
· Lead solutions and presales work, coordinating engineering resources, schedules and technical reviews with the Technical Team Lead. Develop backup coverage, knowledge resources and training to strengthen delivery capability.
· Support Direct Sales and Channel Sales in customer and partner engagements. Develop solution materials, technical comparisons and demo scripts, and train Sales and partners to position, demonstrate and deliver solutions accurately.
· Define service scope, engineering effort, acceptance criteria, technical limitations and vendor support responsibilities. Complete presales handovers with the delivery team and improve solution quality and supportability. Required experience and skills
· Experience in enterprise solution architecture, presales and systems integration, including leadership of projects involving multiple products or vendors. Able to explain your own responsibilities and results from discovery through delivery handover.
· Current practical skills in deploying test environments, configuring services and interfaces, analysing logs and troubleshooting. Able to use Shell, PowerShell, Python or other suitable tools for integration and automation.
· Understanding of dependencies across Linux and Windows, virtualisation, networking, storage, backup and identity security, with practical depth in infrastructure, identity security, workplace integration or related areas.
· Ability to work directly with vendor technical teams on compatibility, joint testing and product issues, and clearly document assumptions, support boundaries and unresolved items.
· Experience leading presales or technical teams, prioritising work, allocating resources, reviewing technical quality, coaching engineers and coordinating requirements across Product, Direct Sales and Channel Sales.
· Ability to translate business requirements into solution designs, BOMs and service effort estimates. Strong presentation and proposal-writing skills, with the ability to explain technical trade-offs to different audiences.
· Understanding of product positioning, target customers and go-to-market plans. Able to balance technical feasibility, delivery capacity and commercial needs, and improve solutions using customer and project feedback.
· Effective Cantonese and Mandarin communication with Hong Kong customers and mainland China vendors, together with English proficiency for technical documentation and business communication. Preferred experience
· Technical presales, tender responses, acceptance testing or delivery for Hong Kong government, public-sector organisations or large enterprises.
· Chinese technology products, Xinchuang migration or coexistence with international products. Familiarity with WPS, Inspur or InCloud, Kylin OS, or relevant PAM, IAM, EMM and observability products.
· Establishing solution labs, reusable solution packages, engineering deployment documentation, or partner technical training and capability assessments. Selection process Candidates should be ready to discuss one or two public or anonymised project examples covering architecture, their own implementation work, vendor and team collaboration, and delivery results. Interviews will include an architecture case discussion and a practical technical assessment. Please send your CV to sales@cttinno.com.
