Our client operates in Belgium’s energy sector, spanning electricity generation, supply and energy solutions. As its Retail & B2B digital team manages increased workload, the Digital Functional Analyst will support Product Owners across customer-facing digital channels. You’ll help translate business needs into clear digital requirements, connecting business teams with technical delivery and helping maintain consistency between business processes and online experiences. The energy sector is changing as providers develop renewable generation, support customer electrification and help balance electricity supply and demand. This creates a broad and evolving digital challenge: online services and subscription journeys need to support customers as their energy needs change. Digital teams play an important role in making complex services and choices clearer and more accessible for both residential and business customers.

What you'll do
- Analyse digital features and change requests from discovery through delivery.
- Turn business needs into functional specifications, user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Map digital user flows, edge cases and technical dependencies, identifying risks and inconsistencies.
- Work with UX/UI designers, analytics colleagues and process analysts to align digital experiences with user needs and end-to-end processes.
- Support Product Owners with backlog refinement and sprint preparation, and provide functional clarity throughout agile ceremonies and sprint cycles. What you bring
- 3–5 years’ experience in functional analysis, preferably in a digital environment.
- A good understanding of digital product development and online customer journeys.
- Familiarity with Jira, Confluence or equivalent tools for backlog and documentation management.
- A good level of English and French or Dutch.
- The ability to analyse complex digital flows, document requirements clearly and work with business, technical and UX colleagues. Useful, but not essential: experience with agile/Scrum ways of working and knowledge of the energy sector. The assignment terms
- This is an independent contractor or employee contract through Ariad
- Workload: Fulltime
