- The ANPR programme is part of the Directorate of Police Information and ICT (DRI) of the Client. The Directorate is responsible for the preparation of the policy and rules for information management and processing, the development of the police information concept, the establishment of technical norms and standards and the implementation of information and communication systems.
- Automatic Number Plate Recognition (Automatic Number Plate Recognition; ANPR) uses intelligent cameras that recognize license plates. The system then compares these scanned number plates with the data already available (stolen or reported vehicles, whether or not they are allowed to drive in certain areas, etc.). Within the police, ANPR is used in the context of road safety and judicial assignments. Mission
- As a product owner Traffic you will be active within RUN with the ANPR team, where the focus is on daily management of the cameras and data flows, the applications and stabilization and continuous improvements.
- In a short period of time, you will build up knowledge about the various topics within Traffic and familiarize yourself with the necessary policy documents and the objectives of the ANPR team. You help set out the vision for all traffic-related work processes and products within ANPR and, where necessary, go on site in the field to further develop this vision and keep it up to date. You have a strong focus and methodological approach to ensure coherence and conformity across the various stakeholders, work processes and products.
- The accumulated expertise allows us to act as a thematic expert and thus to be able to formulate and represent the interests of the systems, work processes and stakeholders within Traffic in the RUN mode. Where necessary, you will participate in consultations with experts from other agencies.
- Together with the project managers and program manager, you map out the implications of RUN for all Traffic-related initiatives and manage the product roadmap.
- You are responsible for the follow-up of various products and initiatives from daily activities or transfers from projects and follow up on current initiatives in order to be able to understand and communicate about them.
- You ensure a good structure in the overview of the various initiatives and make every effort to respect predetermined timings and budgets so that initiatives can be realized and implemented correctly and on time.
- As a link between business and IT, you will help support communication and change management initiatives. You provide the necessary informal updates, reports, information sessions, user instructions, etc. where necessary. Main tasks:
- Ensure that the requirements and standards are clearly written out for all products Traffic. You translate the product vision into a product roadmap.
- Identifying tasks, dependencies and risks; development and follow-up in a product roadmap.
- Reporting progress to stakeholders: status, problems, bottlenecks, risks and proposed alternatives/mitigations; recording decisions and actions ("decision log").
- Establish and maintain quality management plans to ensure that project results meet the required standards.
- Stakeholder management and relationship building with internal stakeholders (including end users) and external partners (including the regions, FPS Mobility, suppliers of technology and cameras) to ensure the success of the various projects.
- Documenting information in a structured way, with a view to anchoring and transferring knowledge. Education, experience and competences:
- At least five years of relevant work experience within IT projects, preferably within the public sector
- Experience with project follow-up and knowledge management systems and programs (JIRA, Confluence)
- French or Dutch as a mother tongue, with a strong passive knowledge of the other language Soft skills
- Strong analytical skills to turn feedback into concrete actions
- Good communication skills and the ability to support different stakeholders in terms of content
- A self-starter with a critical eye
