Senior Business Analyst – Risk & Credit Data
Freelance Contract | Until December 2027
Fluent in English and French OR Dutch
We are looking for an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join the Risk & Credits Team within a leading banking environment in Brussels.
You will be responsible for maintaining and developing a central data warehouse supporting Risk, Credit, regulatory reporting and analytics activities.
Working closely with business stakeholders and developers, you will translate business needs into functional specifications and ensure high-quality data solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and improve the existing data model.
- Perform data profiling and analysis using SQL.
- Define data mapping and transformation rules.
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications.
- Support developers and validate technical implementations.
- Design and execute tests to ensure data quality.
- Support production releases and troubleshoot data issues.
- Provide functional support to business users and Risk teams.
Your Profile
- Minimum 3 years of relevant Business Analyst experience.
- Strong SQL and data analysis skills.
- Experience with databases used for reporting and analytics.
- Experience working in Agile development teams.
- Background in credit or banking is essential.
- Strong requirements gathering, documentation and testing skills.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Access.
- Dutch or French required, with good spoken communication skills.
- Good spoken and written English.
Nice to have:
Oracle, Sybase IQ, Informatica ETL, Linux, programming knowledge and credit risk/regulatory knowledge (Basel III, MCD).
