VIB-KU Leuven Center for Cancer Biology (CCB) is one of the research centers of the Flemish Institute for Biotechnology (VIB) located at KU Leuven (Gasthuisberg Campus). Today, 14 research groups are active within the CCB, employing a total of around 250 employees.
We are looking for a driven Management Assistant to provide administrative support to a number of our research groups.
Description
As a Personal Assistant, you will get the opportunity to work for various research groups within the center.
Initially, you will mainly work for a larger research group in combination with peripheral activities at some smaller labs. Afterward, there will also be the opportunity to provide support to various starting groups within the center.
You will take on the following responsibilities:
Entering and following up on orders for the lab, as well as processing expense reports and visa transactions Organizing meetings & seminars Welcoming visitors and the organization of logistics and the program Organizing business trips: transport, accommodation, full logistical support Providing administrative support in preparing laboratory/departmental documents, grant applications, reporting on research projects and CV updates for the professors Management of the laboratory's website and databases
Profile
Essential
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with a strong administrative focus and an eager-to-learn attitude Excellent English speaking and writing skills. Communication skills: you are good at providing structural feedback on your tasks to the professor and following the professor's instructions accurately You are appreciated for your accuracy and proactivity You are a problem solver, diplomatic and discreet You like to work independently and are a team player at the same timeDesirable but not required
Knowledge of SAP is an important added value Experience with organizing business trips is a plus Knowledge of Dutch is a great added value You have an interest in the scientific and academic world, experience within an academic setting is a big plus
