Within the Finance Business Partner Department, we are looking for a Finance Manager for the “Entreprise Telco & Operations (ETO)” and “Entreprise IT (EIT)” Business Units.
Context and role:
With a yearly turnover of close to 2 Bn€, the ETO and EIT Business Units is the Market leader in Telco for the Belgian professional sector and an important ICT player in the professional Benelux market.
Our ETO and EIT divisions are organized to best serve out customers in those market, with organization tailored according to product types, customer segments and solution practices.
Your role is to plan, consolidate and package the E2E financial performance cycle of ETO and EIT from all different points of view. On top you will present these findings to the ETO and EIT Leadership Squads and prepare the relevant materials for the Proximus Leadership Squad, Board and Investor Relations. The performance cycle includes the long- and short-term financial planning, controlling activities, financial analysis, business analysis and actionable reporting in order to assist key stake holders in the Enterprise organization to make smart business decisions.
As Finance Manager, you will be reporting to the Entreprise & Operations Finance FB Lead and manage a team of three Finance Business Partners.
Responsibilities:
You organise & consolidate the ETO & EIT group planning process up to EBITDA level. You coordinate the ETO & EIT finance business partners inputs with respect to the long-term business plan (3y), the yearly budget exercise, forecasts and monthly forecast reviews. You challenge and synthesize the received input in order to maximize Proximus’ performance and report the outcomes to all higher management levels in close collaboration with the Group Finance department. You report and present variances up to EBITDA/Cash flow level in order to provide a clear and accurate picture of the financial situation (influences, key operational drivers, interrelation,). From there you identify together with the finance business partners potential risks and opportunities including their effects on the year-end outcome. On a monthly basis you’ll prepare and present the outcomes to the ETO & EIT Management Committee and provide the presentations for the Executive Committee. On a quarterly basis you will also ensure adequate reporting to the Board and prepare the necessary documents for the Chief Enterprise Market and Investor Relations, anticipating potential analyst questions. You run the ETO & EIT CAPEX competence centre in close collaboration with the Finance Business Partners and SP Champions to ensure optimal resource allocation to achieve targets. Using your excellent communication & presentation skills, you promote and ensure the respect of the financial best practises and ensure adequate translation of financial or accounting principles. You are responsible to represent the finance community within your divisional level as well as making sure rules and policies are respected. You will actively engage in transversal and transformational projects in both Finance and the Enterprise business, Zero-Based-Budgeting, Operational Excellence and finance systems and tools development. In your role, you act as the ‘Single Point of Contact’ for requests from other departments in order to manage the demand for the ETO & EIT Finance team (FBEO). You will manage and develop a team of 3 Finance Business Partners to ensure success. Finally, you act as the Finance Lead right hand in the optimal functioning of the FBEO staff. You will ensure the documentation and follow up of action points as well as the organization of occasional full day staff meetings.
Your Profile
In order to manage all the above, we are looking for a colleague with great MS Office skills, who is willing to invest in other software applications (TM1, SAP, …) and who has an interest in new technologies and tools for smarter digital collaboration. You are organised and result driven with an analytical mindset and can synthesize large volumes of analysis. The bigger picture is your natural reference frame and when necessary you can deep dive into the details. Tight deadlines give you energy. You can add a storytelling component to financial analysis and get energy from presenting your findings to the management and internal stakeholders. You are proactive, assertive and diplomatic in your professional endeavours. You can make people collaborate, even when not directly managing them. Preferably you have a university degree in a relevant field (finance, economics, business) with minimum 7 years of professional experience and the ambition to further develop his/her financial career, including people management. You can express yourself fluently in English, as well as preferably in French and Dutch as well.
