Job Description - Roles and Responsibilities

As a Database Architect, you will:

Lead database design, data modeling, and integration efforts across both relational (Oracle) and NoSQL environments, including the reverse engineering of existing systems.
Develop, maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize database components while establishing coding standards and standard naming conventions.
Elaborate test programs (including PL/SQL unit testing) and assist with system deployment, configuration, and risk analysis.
Write comprehensive technical documentation, provide technical evaluations, and deliver database audit reports.
Participate actively in project meetings, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality database solutions.

Qualifications:

What would make you a fit for the role:

A Bachelor’s degree in an IT related field.
Minimum 15 years expert-level knowledge of Oracle Databases and PL/SQL , alongside WebLogic Servers, JEE, and Oracle SOA Suite (minimum 10 years).
Hands-on experience with SQL/PL/SQL, NoSQL databases (such as DynamoDB, MongoDB, or Cassandra), and query languages like MQL/CQL, using tools like Oracle SQL Developer and Hackolade.
Strong understanding of database architecture, security best practices, master data management, and release management in an Agile environment.
Capability to write clear technical documentation and confidently present complex technical concepts to both business and technical audiences.
Experience working in large, multicultural, team-oriented environments and having rapid self-starting capabilities.
English language proficiency, proficiency in French is a strong advantage.
High degree of discretion and integrity, which is essential for handling personal, confidential, and sensitive data.
