Global Policy, Public Affairs & Insights Coordinator (Manager Level)

Location: Brussels Region, Brussels, Belgium

Engagement Status: Contract/freelance - € hourly rate available


About the Role

Our Biopharmaceutical client is seeking a highly organised and strategic Global Policy, Public Affairs & Insights Coordinator to act as a key operational partner to senior leadership. This is a high-impact role where you will serve as the “right hand” to the Head of Function, driving execution, alignment, and communication across a global network.


You will play a pivotal role in shaping how the function operates, ensuring structured planning, seamless coordination, and effective delivery of key initiatives across regions and affiliates.


Key Responsibilities:


Strategic Planning & Coordination

  • Drive structured planning cycles, including annual planning, priority setting, and tracking of deliverables
  • Translate strategic objectives into actionable plans, timelines, KPIs, and milestones
  • Establish governance frameworks, reporting tools, and performance tracking mechanisms
  • Act as the central coordination hub across global, regional, and affiliate teams


Leadership Enablement

  • Act as a trusted partner to senior leadership, supporting key decision-making processes
  • Provide visibility on progress, risks, and dependencies across initiatives
  • Prepare leadership materials, updates, and stakeholder engagement content


Internal Communications & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Develop and lead internal communication strategies across the function
  • Produce high-quality communications including newsletters, briefings, and updates
  • Manage internal platforms (e.g. SharePoint) to enable knowledge sharing and collaboration
  • Foster alignment and engagement across global stakeholders


Budget & Financial Coordination

  • Support budget planning, forecasting, and financial tracking
  • Act as liaison with Finance and ensure compliance with governance processes
  • Provide insights on financial performance, risks, and variances


Event Planning & Delivery

  • Lead end-to-end planning of internal and external events (e.g. global meetings, policy forums)
  • Ensure events align with strategic objectives and deliver measurable outcomes
  • Manage logistics, content, and stakeholder coordination


Project & Insights Support

  • Contribute to policy and insights initiatives and project delivery
  • Support development of analysis, materials, and outputs
  • Take ownership of defined projects and workstreams


Requirements:


Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required (Master’s degree preferred)


Experience

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in project management
  • Proven experience supporting complex, cross-functional or global initiatives
  • Experience working in matrixed, international environments
  • Exposure to healthcare, policy, or regulated industries is advantageous
  • Exposure to Pharmaceutical/biotech industries preferred
