Elia has its own Elia Academy, which develops and organises technical, soft-skills and safety training courses for Elia employees and contractors. The academy makes us an even stronger learning and development partner for our business. It also creates one central point of contact within Elia for learning and development-related questions and needs. We use our learning and development expertise to develop successful learning paths that involve a combination of soft, technical and safety skills. These learning paths are prepared with the business and reflect our organisation’s strategic priorities.

 

Elia Academy consists of 3 teams, namely the Designers team, the Architects team and the Training Center.
The Elia Academy Training Center provides a permanent range of training courses and plans and organises learning activities in an efficient and customer-oriented manner, based on the training needs applicable. It also takes care of the practical aspects for each training course: making appointments with the trainer(s), booking rooms, ordering catering, etc. The Training Center takes care of the follow-up and registration of all training courses in an IT application.

 

We are looking for an enthusiastic Team Lead to manage the Elia Academy Training Center team.

 

The Elia Academy Training Center:

 

  • Is the 1st point of contact for employees who want more information about our trainings (both by phone and email).
  • Is responsible for carrying out the various administrative tasks necessary when planning and organising training courses for Elia employees and external parties;
  • Works with the various IT applications (LMS SAP SuccessFactors, Safeguard, eSkill), to ensure the follow-up and registration of the trainings.
  • Performs various administrative tasks such as filing of documents, and provides initial reporting to our business, instructors and participants.
  • Takes care of the follow-up of orders and invoicing of the department.
  • Performs quality improvement tasks, proactively looking for ways to work more efficiently and better integrate our various activities.
  • Works with the Elia Academy Designers and the Elia Academy System Architects to devise the appropriate technical LMS configuration and operational organization of the training programs (trio work).
  • Assists with the organisation of onboarding events for new employees as well as visits of students and of all kinds of delegations.
  • Organises safety tests for our contractors in Belgium and abroad.

Your job responsibilities:

 

  • In line with Elia's HR policy, leading and coaching the internal and external staff of the Elia Academy Training Center team, ensuring we have competent and motivated colleagues to achieve Elia Academy's objectives and provide them with maximum development opportunities.
  • As part of and together with the Elia Academy Core Team, promoting the Elia Academy branding.
  • Maintaining and developing the Training Center:
    • being responsible for the day-to-day management, maintenance and development of the Training Center's training infrastructure (physical training rooms and technical equipment);
    • identifying future needs;
    • monitoring the Training Center's budget in consultation with the Head of Elia Academy;
    • proposing improvement projects to help refine the quality and effectiveness of internal processes;
    • drawing up KPIs to measure the quality and efficiency of the Elia Academy Training Center and propose possible improvement actions;
    • preparing reports on the KPIs and training courses managed by Elia Academy in the learning platform.

Your Profile

 

  • You are a born people manager:
    • you enjoy motivating people and making them grow by coaching them;
    • you already have the relevant experience.
  • You are a real team player and a good communicator.
  • You have great organizational skills:
    • you are good in planning;
    • you have analytical skills and are very precise;
    • you have some experience with budget management or you are willing to train in this;
    • you can work very well with MS-Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint) and enjoy discovering new tools;
    • you are customer-oriented and responsible.
  • Your native language is FR or NL, you have a very good knowledge of the second language, as well as a good knowledge of English (Elia Group interaction with international colleagues).
  • Experience with LMS SAP SuccessFactors systems or another learning system is a plus.
  • You have a Master’s degree.
