Learn more at www.twobirds.com.About the RoleOur Brussels office is seeking a Junior Associate (1–3 years PQE) to join our Intellectual Property (IP) Team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to build a strong foundation in IP law while working on cutting-edge matters for leading national and international clients.Key ResponsibilitiesAssisting on IP advisory and contentious matters, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, and designsSupporting IP litigation and enforcement proceedings before Belgian courts and, where relevant, EU courtsConducting legal research and drafting memoranda, pleadings, and client adviceAssisting with IP portfolio management, licensing, and commercial agreementsMonitoring developments in Belgian, EU, and international IP lawSupporting senior team members on complex, cross-border IP mattersQualificationsBelgian law degree (Master in Law)Admitted to the Belgian Bar (or in the process of admission)Strong academic background with an interest in intellectual property lawPrior internship or traineeship in IP law is an assetRequired Skills & ProfileStrong analytical, drafting, and research skillsExcellent command of Dutch and English; good knowledge of French is an assetInterest in innovation, technology, and creative industriesProactive, motivated, and eager to learnTeam player with strong organisational skills and attention to detailWhy Join Bird & Bird?You will join a leading IP practice within an international law firm, working alongside experienced practitioners on high-profile matters in a supportive and collaborative environment.
