Senior Manual Testers (5 positions) – FPS FinanceWe are looking for five experienced Manual Testers to join a large-scale, strategic digitization project at FPS Finance. This is a long-term, full-time assignment within a complex and business-critical ICT environment. Assignment detailsStart date: March 2026 (April at the latest)Work regime: Full-time, partly remoteLanguages: French or Dutch, with good knowledge of English (preferably trilingual) ContextYou will be part of a multidisciplinary Agile team working on the modernization of a core FPS Finance application. The project involves transforming an existing monolithic system (with external modules) into a modern microservices architecture.The application domain is comparable to:Banking systems (payments, accounts, refunds)Accounting management systemsYou will be deployed in one of the priority areas:Accounting managementTransactions and ordersBusiness rulesInterfacesQuality is monitored by an internal Test Coordinator, and you will follow guidelines from the central QA & Control team. Your assignmentAs a Senior Manual Tester, you are responsible for the end-to-end manual testing process within one project domain. You collaborate closely with functional analysts and developers and are involved in every user story from day one. Working method & responsibilitiesDrawing up test plansDesigning test cases and test data setsPerforming manual tests in the integration environmentRecording, tracking, and documenting defects and bugsPerforming exploratory testing and analyzing edge casesTesting from the end-user perspectiveReporting on software quality to stakeholders (development, analysis, QA, management)Actively contributing to continuous quality improvementCoaching and supporting less experienced testersActive participation in Agile ceremoniesProactive communication about quality, risks, and findingsAnticipation skills, organizational flexibility, and smooth communication between teams are essential in this role. Required competenciesGeneric (must-have)Minimum 8 years of demonstrable experience as a manual testerStrong knowledge of testing methodologies (ISTQB certification is a plus)Experience working in Agile / Scrum environmentsExcellent communication skillsExperience in coaching within testingTechnical (must-have)Experience with XRAY or similar test management toolsStrong knowledge of JIRA and ConfluenceBasic understanding of programming logicThorough knowledge of databases, test data, and SQLExperience with API testing (Postman, SoapUI)Understanding of API concepts such as: OpenAPI, Belgif, Idempotence, pagination, versioning, error handling, JSON, DLQExperience testing message queuing systems (ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ)Knowledge of GherkinExperience with BDD and tools like Cucumber Plus pointsKnowledge of the structure and functioning of FPS Finance, especially AGPR / AAIIBasic knowledge of Selenium and/or PlaywrightProven experience as a test coach
