Senior Test ConsultantMission start date 01-02-2026 until 01-02-2029Location Brussels HybridWe are looking for a Senior Tester to join a project with a digital solution for the supervision of the financial sector. Its first releases support the regulatory collection and management of reports submitted by supervised institutions, the Fit and Proper assessment of institutions management, and the exchange of data with European Supervision Authorities and National Competent Authorities. This in-house developed system replaces legacy applications, digitize and integrate existing and new features into a single and modular platform. Its main features include, but are not limited to, the following items: Dedicated portal for supervision activities Central repository for collected documents Regulations and reporting management Supervisory follow up Supervisory metadata management Interfacing with other supervisory authorities the solution consists of: a .NET application using an Angular framework designed to record and consult data and metadata Interfaces from and to using APIs Migration of legacy data to the new solution The Senior Tester will work within a project team of fifteen people, including an existing senior tester. As Senior Tester of the project, you will be responsible for the coordination of all test activities. You mission will consist of: Provide test estimations and plan test activities. Participate with the team in the review of the User stories: clarification of the requirements in terms of testability, consistency and completeness Use risk assessment to identify the type of test to be performed as well as the execution order. Prepare and execute test cases. Prepare test cases in collaboration with the business experts and follow-up their execution by the business tester. Coordinate test activities in development and user acceptance. Coach team members, professional tester or not, involved in test activities. Manage defects: readiness and criticality assessment before transmission to the development team, patch validation. Report on test coverage, progress and quality metrics to the project team and management. Be responsible for the quality and the coverage of E2E and Regression testing. Use the test management tool XRAY Apply methodology and standards in use at National Bank of Belgium Deliverables Estimation and planning of the test activities. Documented and executed test cases in XRAY Documented defect in JIRA. Revision of the actual test cases in XRAY for the regression testing. Reporting on test coverage, progress and quality metrics. (re)Testing bugs in production All deliverables must be written in English. Languages French / Dutch: native of one language and active knowledge (understanding / speaking / writing technical documentation / reading) of the second one. English: active knowledge. Technical Knowledge Excellent knowledge of testing processes and methodology. Excellent knowledge of test analysis, test execution and defect management. Good knowledge of regression and performance testing Knowledge of JIRA and XRAY Knowledge of Excel functions Knowledge of SQL. Knowledge of API testing Experience Experience as Senior Tester in a software development project and as part of a team with professional and nonprofessional Test Analyst/Testers. Extensive experience in test analysis and execution. Experience in regression test and performance testing. Extensive experience with XRAY and JIRA. Personal aptitude and other skills Ability to determine priorities, organize work within a team and coordinate different stakeholders. Ability to coach nonprofessional testers. Communication and negotiation skills. Analytical and synthesis abilities. Proactive and problem solving. Attention to details and quality. Ability to deliver on time and under pressure.
