To support this momentum and ensure we are fully protected, we are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Global Risk and Insurance Manager to oversee the management of all our insurance programs and related risk management activities worldwide.
About the Role:
As Global Risk and Insurance Manager, you will play a key role in protecting our business by ensuring adequate coverage for our diverse global operations. You will manage a broad portfolio of insurance policies, oversee claims, and advise on risk mitigation strategies. Working as a SPOC cross-functionally with internal teams and external stakeholders, you will ensure that our insurance programs align with business needs, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage, review, and optimize all global as well as local insurance policies, including but not limited to:
- Property and facilities insurance
- Employee health, labor and Worker Compensation insurance
- Third-party liability insurance
- Fleet, transport and cargo insurance
- Directors & Officers (D&O) insurance
- IT, intellectual property (IP), and electronic equipment insurance
- Legal protection insurance
- Conduct regular Insurance Risk Assessment, coverage gap analyses and ensure appropriate risk protection levels across all operations.
- Lead renewals and negotiations with brokers, insurers, and reinsurers to achieve cost-effective, comprehensive coverage.
- Review and negotiate terms and conditions of policies (scope, exclusions, etc.) to ensure the most effective protection of I-care business and operations.
- Identify, evaluate, and mitigate potential risks related to facilities, operations, and business activities globally.
- You are the SPOC for internal teams (e.g., Legal, Finance, IT, HR) to assess and address risks associated with new ventures, contracts, or projects.
- Develop and maintain risk management policies, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and compliance with local laws.
Claims Management:
- Oversee the claims process, ensuring timely reporting, investigation, and resolution of incidents.
- Liaise with insurance providers, adjusters, and legal teams as necessary to maximize claim outcomes.
Strategic Advice and Reporting:
- Act as the company’s subject matter expert on all insurance-related matters.
- Provide leadership with regular updates and analysis on risk exposure, insurance performance, and cost trends.
- Prepare and present reports on insurance coverage, claims history, and cost-benefit evaluations.
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Business, Law, Finance, Insurance, Risk Management, or a related field.
- Professional certifications (e.g., FSMA, ARM, CPCU) are a plus.
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in insurance management, risk management, or a related field. Global or multi-regional experience is highly valued.
- Strong knowledge of various types of insurance coverage, policies, and risk mitigation practices.
- Excellent negotiation skills with a proven ability to manage relationships with brokers, insurers, and legal professionals.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to assess risk and financial impact effectively.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work across departments and regions.
- Fluency in English (additional languages are a plus).
