Product Management Expert – Product Operating Model TransformationBelgium | Hybrid (3 days onsite)Our client, a key player in the energy sector, is entering a critical phase of its product transformation journey. To support this transition, we are looking for a Product Management Expert to act as an embedded, trusted advisor within the transformation team.This is not a training or coaching-only role. You will work hands-on with product leaders and teams to operationalise the Product Operating Model (POM) in day-to-day execution, starting with the CMS division and expanding to other divisions (Assets, Infrastructure).Your MissionAs part of the transformation program (PACE), you will:Embed product management best practices into real workCoach product leaders while co-creating solutions with themAccelerate the adoption of a discovery-driven, outcome-oriented product cultureHelp shape the future product organisationKey ResponsibilitiesProduct Operating Model ImplementationAct as a sparring partner to SITO and business leadership, providing strategic and operational insightsDiagnose gaps between current practices and the target Product Operating ModelPilot and scale organisational improvements across teams and divisionsEvolve the POM where needed based on real-world observationsEstablish reporting cadences linking strategy, outcomes, and executionEmbed practical product tools, rituals, and governance into daily routinesCoaching & Enablement of Product LeadersShadow Product Directors, Managers, and Product Owners, providing real-time feedback and guidanceStrengthen decision-making quality and speed through lightweight frameworksTranslate strategic objectives into clear, team-level prioritiesCoach leaders on psychological safety, accountability, and team engagementBuild strong continuous product discovery practices: testing assumptions, user engagement, and evidence-based decisionsClarify roles and responsibilities across product and adjacent functionsDesign and support individual capability development plansStakeholder AlignmentAct as a trusted sounding board for senior managers and product leadsFacilitate alignment sessions across business units, chapters, and SITOSurface systemic blockers and support leadership in resolving themProduct Management Centre of ExcellenceContribute to the creation of a Product Management Centre of ExcellenceFormalise processes, frameworks, and best practices across the divisionSupport the design and execution of product upskilling tracksCollaborate with Agile, Learning, and other internal chapters to ensure long-term capability buildingWhat You BringExperience & Expertise5–8 years of experience in product management, product leadership, or product transformationProven experience embedded in multi-quarter product transformationsStrong background in regulated, data-intensive environmentsDemonstrated success in building product discovery practices from scratchTrack record of shifting organisations from feature delivery to outcome orientationExperience operating in environments with evolving roles and structuresSkills & MindsetDeep mastery of product discovery, delivery, and prioritisation frameworksHands-on, credible, and pragmatic: you model behaviours before expecting adoptionStrong coaching capability: you build trust quickly and navigate resistance constructivelyExcellent facilitation skills: you drive decisions, not just discussionsStructured thinker who brings clarity without adding bureaucracyComfortable working with engineering-heavy and compliance-driven stakeholdersLanguagesFluent in EnglishFluent in French or Dutch (spoken and written)Practical InformationLocation: BelgiumWork mode: Hybrid, 3 days per week onsiteImportant – Non-EU CandidatesCandidates must:Hold a valid Belgian work permitHold a valid Belgian residence permit
