We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Functional Analyst with solid experience in the banking and insurance sectors. You will play a pivotal role in managing the functional design of complex information systems, ensuring seamless integration and implementation across key business functions.
Your Role:
- Requirements Gathering & Analysis: Collaborate with stakeholders to assess the maturity of requirements and work with test teams to prepare for scenario validation.
- Feasibility & Service Requests: Evaluate service requests, assessing their feasibility in terms of technology, resources, and timelines, and provide well-informed recommendations for project execution.
- Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks during system testing and mitigate issues before they impact delivery.
- Functional Design: Perform detailed functional analysis, developing robust designs based on initial studies and evolving requirements.
- Change Implementation & Support: Ensure smooth transitions from development to production, proposing system enhancements that drive efficiency and reliability.
- Program Specifications: Create new program requirements and detailed specifications to align with both business objectives and customer needs.
- System Maintenance & Upgrades: Support system upgrades and troubleshoot ongoing issues to maintain seamless operations.
Profile:
- A Master's degree in economics, finance, mathematics, law, or computer science, or an equivalent professional experience.
- Over 5 years of proven experience in business analysis within the banking industry.
- Proven expertise in translating manual or local processes into centralized systems, specifically in the context of regulatory FINREP reporting.
- Proficiency in agile methodologies, analytical thinking, collaboration, data-driven decision making, IT security, and software development.
- Technical proficiency with tools like Confluence, Jira, and ServiceNow is highly regarded.
- Fluent in Dutch, with a strong command of English.
- Experience in at least one of the following areas: Risk, Credit Risk, Finance, Treasury, or Sustainability, with a strong focus on regulatory reporting (ideally FINREP).
- Strong data analysis skills, particularly in SQL, to support accurate testing and validation of system implementations.
- Familiarity with the following tools and systems: Wolters Kluwer reporting, Teradata data warehouse, IBM Cognos Controller.
- A team player with a project-minded approach, quick to adapt and with a proactive, results-oriented mindset.
- Well-organized, stress-resilient, with excellent critical thinking and communication skills.
