Siemens Smart Infrastructure (SI) is op zoek naar een enthousiaste Solution Designer voor het ontwerpen van elektronische beveiligingssystemen en de opmaak van offertes. Als integrator zet Siemens zich in voor het leveren van innovatieve beveiligingsoplossingen voor kritische infrastructuren en smart buildings (camera surveillance, artificiële intelligentie, toegangscontrole, inbraak- en perimeterdetectie systemen, geïntegreerde software oplossingen, cybersecurity oplossingen … enz.).

Als Solution Designer kom je terecht in het team van Yvan en ga je het Sales team technisch-commercieel ondersteunen. Enerzijds fungeer je als designer die met zijn conceptuele aanpak en demo’s klanten zal inspireren, anderzijds zal je totaalconcepten uitwerken en instaan voor de opmaak van de offerte. Je kan zowel vrije opdrachten van de klant krijgen als heel gespecifieerde. In deze rol weet je klanten te inspireren met je ideeën en story telling. Je technische bagage, conceptueel inzicht, teamwerk en een goede commerciële feeling zijn je sterkste troeven.

Als solution designer ziet iedere dag er anders uit. Een greep uit het omvangrijke en variërende takenpakket:

  • Adviseur op vlak van geïntegreerde securityoplossingen naar de klanten toe. Je bent (gaandeweg) in staat op diepgaande technische vragen te antwoorden en je concept toe te lichten. Je kan technische specificaties analyseren en deze vertalen naar een concrete oplossing.
  • Inventariseert de status on site bij de klant.
  • Selecteert de componenten, systemen en soft- en hardware voor de oplossing voor de klant: grootte, hoeveelheid, plaatsing, compatibiliteit met systemen, interactie met software platformen etc.
  • Ontwerpt het concept; de juiste materiaalkeuze en de installatie ervan, rekening houdende met bepaalde eigenschappen van sites en gebouwen zijn hier belangrijk. Je tekent de installatie op een plan, bepaalt de doelstelling, werkt het camerastandpunt uit en de opnameparameters etc. Dit alles resulteert in een geïntegreerd concept van het inbraakdetectiesysteem.
  • Je werkt kostprijsberekeningen uit o.b.v. het ontwerp en m.b.v. standaard quotation tools.
  • Kortom, jij bent hét uithangbord van Siemens’ Security oplossingen. Jouw concept en voorstel is essentieel om de klant te overtuigen en competitief te zijn. Naast je inzicht en analytisch denkvermogen, ben je ook in staat om commerciële presentaties of demo’s te geven, een proof-of-concept uit te werken etc.

In deze rol werk je sterk autonoom, maar ben je ook een uitgesproken teamplayer. Je bezorgt correcte informatie aan project managers; overlegt met technische collega’s over technisch complexe dossiers, staat Sales mensen technisch bij tijdens klantengesprekken en zoveel meer. Je durft zowel collega’s kritisch te challengen als om uitleg te vragen.

Je opleiding, ervaring of background zijn niet doorslaggevend. Siemens investeert in mensen die graag uitdagingen aangaan en die willen groeien. Aangezien deze functie zich situeert binnen “Security” zullen bepaalde interesses of competenties reeds aanwezig zijn of ontwikkeld worden:

  • Leergierig en flexibel ingesteld. Je houdt van uitdagingen, het onbekende en pionierswerk.
  • Je bent op de hoogte van de verschillende producten en oplossingen die er bestaan (vb. thermische camera’s, voordelen van een smart card, data-uitwisseling met HR-SAP systemen van de klant etc.). Ken je de producten (nog) niet, geen paniek Bij Siemens voorzien we interne opleidingen van A tot Z
  • Je denkt conceptueel en kan met een analytische blik de zaken evalueren en op basis hiervan aan de slag gaan.
  • Je houdt ervan om organisatorisch aan de slag te gaan: iets organiseren van A to Z, privé of professioneel, zijn zaken die je een energieboost geven
  • Je bent een bruggenbouwer en houdt ervan met verschillende mensen en afdelingen samen te werken. Je kan zelfstandig werken en houdt van verantwoordelijkheden, maar bent tevens een teamspeler.
  • Je kan goed luisteren naar de noden van de klant en deze vertalen naar innovatieve en competitieve oplossingen.
  • Je kan je uitstekend uitdrukken in het Nederlands en het Engels. Frans is een meerwaarde en dient gaandeweg tot professioneel niveau te komen.
