Lung Cancer Europe is the voice of people living with lung cancer and their families with lung cancer at European level. LuCE provides a European platform for lung cancer patient advocacy associations and networks and supports the establishment of national lung cancer patient groups in those European countries where such groups do not yet exist. The Head of Operations will oversee the daily operations of Lung Cancer Europe, managing a small team of remote professionals. This role requires a flexible, innovative leader with a strong operational background who can enhance our processes and support our mission to improve the lives of patients with lung cancer. Key Responsibilities Team Management: Lead, mentor, and support a small, diverse remote team, fostering collaboration and productivity. Set clear objectives and performance expectations while conducting regular reviews. Operational Strategy: Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with the organisation's mission and objectives. Identify areas for improvement in our operational processes to enhance efficiency and better serve our community. Process Optimisation: Streamline workflows and establish best practices for remote operations. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure productivity and effectiveness. Resource Management: Oversee resource allocation, budget management, and operational planning. Ensure the timely and effective delivery of programmes and initiatives that support lung cancer patients. Communication and Reporting: Maintain effective communication with team members and stakeholders, ensuring transparency and collaboration. Prepare and present operational reports to the board, highlighting performance, challenges, and strategic opportunities. Project Management: Lead and manage special projects that align with the organisation's goals and objectives, ensuring successful execution and impactful outcomes. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Public Health, or a related field; Experience with pharmaceutical companies preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management, preferably in a non-profit or healthcare environment. Strong leadership and team management skills with a proven track record of motivating and leading remote teams. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage a diverse audience. Passion for public health and a commitment to improving cancer care.
