As a Logistics Operations Manager (internally called Fulfilment Operations Manager), you will lead the End-to-End daily running of fulfilment unit (store) operations, including planning and managing operations and resources; receiving, putting away, and replenishing; picking, packing, and shipping; and managing inventory. You will lead, coach, and develop the operations team leaders, ensuring high-quality performance at the lowest possible cost while keeping the customer in focus and maintaining a safe, sustainable, and healthy work environment.

To be successful in your role, we expect that you have:

1. Experience of leading leaders (preferably in distribution, retail, logistics, or similar) with a proven record of successful strategic leadership delivering both business results and people development.
2. Proven ability to lead, inspire, and engage others in a changing environment with a commercial focus balancing efficiency, inspiration, and profitability.
3. Experience of working through others, setting priorities, delegating responsibility, and giving open and honest feedback.
4. Experience in applying tactical and operational thinking and implementing action plans, providing clear direction and following up on goals.
5. Proven analytical skills with an understanding of budget, cost, and key performance measurements used to plan, follow up, and steer the business.
6. Passion for logistics and the ability to optimize processes with high quality, understanding the financial impact and customer experience.
7. Good knowledge of Customer Fulfilment performance monitoring and influencing factors.
8. Good knowledge of working methods securing excellence in Fulfilment Operation processes together with relevant stakeholders.
9. Good knowledge of Supply Chain methods, policies, and requirements toward the IKEA unit and its business partners.
10. Very good knowledge of all relevant standard operating procedures for Customer Fulfilment to keep all co-workers and customers safe.
11. Good knowledge of resource planning in accordance with potential sales scenarios, forecasts, and fulfilment flow allocations.
12. Good knowledge of problem-solving and process improvement methodologies.

Your responsibilities will include:

1. Securing efficiency, implementing improvements, new operational processes, technologies, and ways of working throughout the operations (inbound, replenishment, outbound, services execution) to enable an excellent customer and co-worker experience.
2. Ensuring close cooperation and strong communication with the Fulfilment Integration team, unit management team or support functions, and External Transport/Service Providers to secure the highest goods availability and customer order fulfilment at the lowest possible cost.
3. Ensuring that the Fulfilment Operations team works in compliance with the IKEA code of conduct, all relevant Standard Operating Procedures, internal IKEA regulations, and local legislation related to health, safety, security, and the environment.
4. Leading, coaching, developing, and inspiring a high-performing Fulfilment Operations team by working closely with the Fulfilment Integration team, including communication, flexibility, performance culture, competence development, succession planning, and maintaining a work environment which supports equality, diversity, inclusion, and well-being.
5. Implementing the Customer Fulfilment Sustainability agenda in the assigned unit operations environment.
6. Driving cultural change towards Lean thinking in the fulfilment unit and supporting lean methodologies within Fulfilment unit while overseeing Lean improvements and initiatives for the entire Fulfilment operations.
