Your Role And Responsibilities As a Senior IT Security Officer , you will act as a senior trusted advisor responsible for defining, governing and overseeing security in complex, high-risk environments. You will operate at both strategic and operational level. Key Responsibilities Lead Security Incident & Response, including coordination, root cause analysis and continuous improvement. Manage Security Accreditation for systems and environments in line with applicable standards and authorities. Drive Security Risk Management, including risk assessments, mitigation and executive-level advice. Plan and oversee Security Audits & Assessments (internal, external, regulatory). Ensure effective physical and environmental security controls for sensitive or classified environments. Act as the senior security point of contact for project leadership and client. Strong experience in security incident management, risk management and crisis handling. Proven expertise in security accreditation, compliance and assurance (e.g. ISO/IEC 27001, NIST). Experience conducting and overseeing security audits and assessments. Solid understanding of physical and environmental security principles. Ability to clearly advise and communicate with senior and non-technical stakeholders. Demonstrated leadership, mentoring and quality oversight capabilities. Strong analytical, documentation and reporting skills. Fluency in English (written and spoken) and Dutch (written and spoken). Preferred Technical And Professional Experience Familiarity with defence industry security policies, directives and standards.
