As a Regional Coordination Center (RCC), Coreso plays a pivotal role in managing high-voltage electricity flows across European Transmission System Operators (TSOs). We ensure regional electricity security, integrate large-scale renewable energy, and contribute actively to shaping the future of the European electricity market.
To achieve this, Coreso focuses on implementing and delivering regulated coordination services in line with EU regulations. To support the delivery of these grid services to European stakeholders, Coreso has a vast set of IT Service Applications, be it developed internally or with IT Vendors. With new services and IT service applications going live the coming years, we are seeking a new IT Service Application Lead. This role involves coordinating the day-to-day management of several IT Service Applications, some of them co-developed.

As the IT Service Application Lead, you will manage and propose improvements to IT Service Management (ITSM) processes, such as change and problem management, based on ITIL practices. You will serve as the single point of contact for IT vendors and coordinate with other Business experts & IT teams, including hosting & infrastructure and security.
Additionally, you will ensure quality standards are met by vendors and advise on process and IT functional improvements for the IT Service Applications that fall under your responsibility. You will oversee business requirements, prioritize them, and interact with IT vendors, aligning efforts with ongoing implementation tracks. This role is crucial for ensuring our IT Service Applications evolve according to a long-term roadmap and continue to support our stakeholders effectively.

Your role and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Definition of quality standards for IT Service Applications.
- Identification and implementation of functional and non-functional improvements to existing IT Service Applications.
- Harmonization and standardization of Business needs & Requirements gathering.
- Coordinate Vendor discussions & tendering procedures.
- Coordinate release and deployment, incl. change management.
- Support in the creation of transversal testing frameworks, coordination of test procedures.
- Liaise with responsible parties for hosting to ensure seamless integration and performance.
- Manage IT service support & maintenance contracts with Vendors, supported by procurement and legal experts.
- Manage external stakeholders, including other RCCs.
What are we looking for?
- Master's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 5 - 8 years of proven experience in IT application management or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of IT service management frameworks, and a proven experience with ITIL processes, such as change management, incident management, ….
- Experience in release management and deployment processes.
- Familiarity with stakeholders as well as vendor management and coordination.
- You combine Strong organizational and project management skills with effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of the energy sector and grid management (preferred)
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Your proactive attitude and adaptability allow you to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
