ROLE

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Is ultimately responsible for the smooth running of the account - operationally, creatively, financially – and is accountable to these points to both the client and Business Director.
  2. As the senior point of contact for an agency's customers, the Account Director also coordinates the resources needed to service projects, builds strategic operational plans and balances the expectations of clients with the execution of creative work.
  3. Builds strong and enduring relationships with clients, understanding their business and the key broader factors and trends shaping their markets and categories.
  4. Brings creative work to the next level and explores extra revenue streams within the social media remit.
  5. In tandem with the strategic department, develops insightful strategies and sharp creative briefs.
  6. Is the creative department's most senior contact on a day-to-day basis, adding value to briefs, judging work, and presenting it to clients convincingly.
  7. Creates the best possible environment to produce the best possible work.
  8. Delegates effectively and appropriately – upwards to agency management and downwards to reports and other departments.
  9. Builds respect, loyal commitment, and performance among team members.
  10. Maintains keen attention to detail and budgetary restraints.
  11. This is an office-based role, requiring time in meetings and briefings, as well as close contact with key clients based in Brussels and different European markets. Occasional travel is usually required for client visits, new business presentations, planning, and brief taking. Although your commitment will tend to be standard office hours, deadlines or client demands may require early or late work.

PROFILE

  1. 8+ years' experience - deep expertise in digital campaigns, including activations, and broad experience in ATL.
  2. Experience with international clients is a plus.
  3. Proficient in Dutch & English with a good understanding of French.
  4. Comfortable in growing senior client relationships and business.
  5. Skillful project management – expert in scoping and delivering projects on time and on budget.
  6. Proven experience in managing team members.
  7. Enthusiastic team-player, curious, and keen to grow & learn. Flexible and open to work in an agile environment.
  8. Have a 'borderless' mindset – working with colleagues based in Brussels and several other European and Anglophone markets.
