De afdeling Vessel Traffic Services maakt deel uit van het nautisch operationele zenuwcentrum van Port of Antwerp Bruges. We informeren en adviseren de schepen ten behoeve van veilige navigatie in het havengebied, zorgen we voor een correcte en optimale ligplaatsplanning en zijn een rechtstreeks aanspreekpunt voor de havengebruikers. Met 80 hardwerkende collega’s staat onze afdeling 24/7 ten dienste van de scheepvaart.
In je rol van assistant port planner:
- Je zorgt voor een nauwkeurige opvolging en registratie van scheepsbewegingen binnen het havengebied via marifoonmeldingen en houdt hierbij rekening met de geldende regels en richtlijnen binnen het havengebied.
- Je bent het eerste aanspreekpunt voor de binnenvaart en biedt ondersteuning bij het maken van meldingen in het haveninformatie platform.
- Je werkt actief en proactief mee aan de verdere ontwikkeling van de afdeling Port planning door je kennis en ervaring te delen om zo de dienstverlening te optimaliseren.
Het gaat om een tijdelijke functie van 1 jaar die verlengd kan worden in functie van de noden van de afdeling.

Hiervind je de competentiematrix met de vereiste competenties voor deze functie.
- Je behaalde een diploma secundair onderwijs of je hebt gelijkwaardige ervaring.
- Je hebt de nodige affiniteit met de nautische wereld en bent bereid je hierin te blijven verdiepen.
- Je beschikt over een VHF brevet of bent bereid dit op korte termijn te behalen (= aanwervingsvoorwaarde).
- Je beschikt over een goede kennis van onze haven.
- Je werkt nauwkeurig en stelt hoge kwaliteitseisen aan het afgeleverde werk.
- Je communiceert vlot in het Nederlands en het Engels.
- Je bent handig met de gebruikelijke kantoortoepassingen en hebt de wil om je verder te verdiepen in onze digitale toepassingen.
- Je bent bereid te werken in een 24/7 ploegenstelsel.
- Je beschikt over een rijbewijs en eigen vervoer.
