Construction Site Supervisor

We are currently looking for a Construction Supervisor that will be working on various projects. Construction Supervisors are responsible for ensuring construction activities are carried out in line with Safety, Quality, schedule and Cost Procedures and Guidelines.Job Description:General:Report to the Package Owner (PO) and Construction Manager (CM)Daily Permanent follow up on site for the HVAC and Building Utilities packagesAssist the Package Owner (PO) for control and co-ordinate the work of the contractorParticipate to tier 0 and instruct the contractor companyBackup CM and superintendent to lead the Tier 0Participate if needed to the weekly technical meeting with the PO and the contractorParticipate to the weekly CM meetingHaving a complete understanding of the Package(s) drawings and SpecificationsEnsure that everyone has had site trainingEnsure that Quality Policies are implemented and understood by the contractorWorking closely together with other team members and especiallySafety:Ensure that work permits are in order (check work permit and check in on site)Control PTW signature is done each morningEnsure the permits signature by all parties prior the works and verify the WP conditions true a daily LMRAMake sure fire permits are in orderEnsure that safety documents (safety plan), method statements, lifting plans, etc. are in orderParticipate to the review of RAMS prepared by the contractor in collaboration with the EHS and CM team and give commentsEnsure the contractor adhere strictly to the project drawings, specifications, standards and proceduresEnsure that the Arcadis Health, Safety, Environment, Security (HSES) is understood by the contractorPerform regular checks on the site for safetyReport incidentsPlanning and cost:Keeping the CM and PO informed of field operations and daily work progress of the workConfirming to PO all information needed to monitor and modify the progress scheduleFollow-up of situations that lead to inability to work, eg power failure (contractor report with waiting times and names)Ensure support to the PO for determining whether subcontractors are providing sufficient workforce and hours of work to achieve performance commitmentsEnsure that reimbursable hours - if applicable - are reported on a daily basisFollow up progress on site and check the progress reported by contractorCheck that progress is consistent with baselinePreparing daily reports, job diaries, narratives, and any other document required to monitor the packageDaily verify on site the 3 weeks look ahead document and participate to the 3 weeks look ahead weekly meeting.Following Construction:Participation in the preparation and execution of LOTO consignments (LOG OUT / TAG OUT) related to the packageEnsure systems are being constructed compliant with the isometrics/layouts for constructionTo be able to compare the 3D model with the real situation on side trough Naviswork, DaluxVerify on site quality of the work performed by the contractorReport ClashesEnsuring that welding files are in order at all times (WPS, PQR, WQ)Witness mechanical completion checks (eg P&ID checks, slope checks, pressure/flush tests,...)Ensure installation (eg supporting, insulation, painting,...) is compliant with client's specificationsOrganize in collaboration with the PO all red-line marked drawings and hand-over documentationObtained copy of the construction logbooks from the contractorsManage scaffolding requestsSupport package owners during start-up/energization of systemQualifications: A Third Level qualification in an associated discipline5-12 years experience as a Construction Supervisors in an associated sector (Ideally Pharmaceutical or High tech Industry)Previous exposure of efficiently dealing with internal and external ClientsA motivated self-starter with excellent inter-personal, communication and organisational skillsFlexibility and adaptability to respond to evolving project / client needsPossesses a high level of problem solving and decision making abilityDemonstrable ability to plan, organize and prioritizeStrong IT skills with proficiency in associated software packages (Office, Schedule software, Naviswork)Strong attention to detailCustomer / Client Service FocusedAbility to work in a fast paced, dynamic environmenDedication to internal and external Continuing Professional DevelopmentCommitted to safe working practices on construction sitesLarge scale, complex industrial projects experience is essential, construction delivery experience within industrial sectors including Food, Life Sciences, Advanced Manufacturing, Life Sciences, Mission Critical & Datacenters, is preferredExperience in the promoting and ensuring exemplary standards of health and safety on large-scale construction projectsFlexibility to travel throughout EuropeWell-developed time management and prioritizing skillsCommunication skills, project management skillsAbility to work under pressure
