Your role & impact We’re looking for a Sales Director to own and accelerate Penneo’s commercial success in Belgium. This role combines strategic leadership with selective hands‑on engagement: you will shape the market approach, lead and develop our experienced sales team, and build high‑value relationships with strategic prospects and partners. You will be responsible for driving market penetration, strengthening our position in core verticals, and establishing Penneo as the leading trusted service provider and signing solution for regulated businesses in Belgium. You report directly to our Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) and play a key role in Penneo’s international growth journey. This role is based in our Gent office. Local presence is important, but we operate with a hybrid setup. What you'll be doing: Lead, develop, and inspire our Belgian sales team, creating a culture of high performance, accountability, and collaboration. Set and execute the regional commercial strategy, ensuring strong market penetration and growth. Build and nurture strategic relationships with enterprise prospects, partners, and key stakeholders. Act as a player‑coach — leading by example through selective involvement in high‑impact deals. Ensure strong pipeline and forecasting discipline, enabling predictable, scalable revenue growth. Collaborate cross‑functionally with Marketing, Product, Revenue Operations and Customer teams to ensure a smooth, unified customer journey. Represent Penneo in the Belgian market at events, in networks, and with industry associations. What makes you a great match? Proven experience leading and developing B2B sales teams in the Belgian market (Flanders experience is a strong plus). A strong track record selling SaaS or other complex technology solutions to mid‑market or enterprise customers. The ability to define, communicate, and execute a clear commercial strategy. Deep knowledge of the Belgian business ecosystem and strong senior‑networking skills. A player‑coach mindset: equally comfortable leading from the front and empowering others to execute. A passion for building culture and elevating performance through coaching. A natural tech savviness and interest in emerging technologies and AI.
