Wat houdt deze vacature in?
KBC Commercial Banking ondersteunt KMO's, mid-caps en grote bedrijven om duurzamer te ondernemen en treedt voor hen op als partner in hun duurzame transitie. We begeleiden hen op hun sustainability journey, die begint met het geven van inzichten via digitale tools, webinars, artikels en/of een gesprek over hun huidige aanpak. We gebruiken eigen tools om ondernemers inzichten te geven, onder meer over hun carbon footprint en de uitdagingen voor hun niet-residentieel vastgoed. Via partners, kan er gewerkt worden naar een op maat duurzaamheidsadvies en -implementatie. Tot slot is KBC er om de duurzame investeringen te financieren en te verzekeren.
Als Sustainability Manager versterk je het dynamische, multidisciplinaire Sustainability Team binnen Segmentbeleid Commercial Banking en help je onze duurzaamheidsambities te realiseren.
Wat verwachten we van jou?
- Je volgt trends en wetgeving inzake duurzaamheid voor ondernemingen mee op en verdiept zo steeds verder je expertise. Je bereidt eindklanten en relatiebeheerders voor op het identificeren en opvolgen van duurzame opportuniteiten en risico's.
- Je bent een sustainability enabler: je geeft als expert interne en externe toelichtingen en presentaties over uitdagingen voor bepaalde sectoren en nieuwe duurzaamheidswetgeving.
- Je staat in voor het screenen van financiële instrumenten waarbij je onderzoekt of deze als duurzaam kunnen worden bestempeld. Bij asset-based kredietaanvragen doe je dit aan de hand van de EU Taxonomy. Bij company-based kredietaanvragen bepaal je mee de duurzaamheidscriteria of KPI's die de rentevoet van het krediet bepalen (sustainability-linked loans). Hierbij werk je nauw samen met de klant, de relatiebeheerder en je directe collega's.
- Je neemt een leidende rol op bij in het structureren van duurzame financieringstransacties (gesyndiceerde kredieten en obligaties) op maat voor zakelijke klanten van KBC waarbij je de markt actief opvolgt zodat je steeds op de hoogte blijft van de gangbare marktpraktijk.
- Je zal je sustainability expertise ook inzetten om het duurzaamheidsaanbod van KBC richting ondernemers verder uit te breiden.
Jouw troeven?
- Je bent analytisch, klantgericht en proactief: klantbetrokkenheid is de belangrijkste prioriteit bij het verder versterken van het duurzaamheidsprofiel van onze klanten en het stimuleren van de activiteiten op het gebied van Sustainable Finance.
- Je hebt min 3 jaar werkervaring in:
- financieringscontext, een sterke achtergrond gaande van financiële transacties in gestructureerde financiering, schuldkapitaalmarkten, kredietanalyse en/of dealstructurering.
- ESG of duurzaamheid gerelateerde content. (bankwezen / industrie / regelgeving / ...).
- een consultantomgeving als auditor of relatiebeheerder ondernemingen bij een financiële instelling.
- Je hebt een oprechte interesse voor duurzaamheid. Je hebt noties van de Europese klimaatwetgeving (Green Deal, EU Taxonomy, NFRD-CSRD-…) en de impact van die wetgeving op ondernemingen. Je bent overtuigd dat een bank als KBC een grote rol kan spelen in verduurzaming als we een gepast aanbod hebben voor ondernemers.
- Je hebt zeer goede communicatieve vaardigheden in het Nederlands en Engels, zowel mondeling als schriftelijk. Die laten je toe een materie bevattelijk over te brengen en je standpunt diplomatisch maar kordaat te verdedigen, onder meer ten opzichte van andere banken in het syndicaat en KBC senior management. Geen probleem voor jou om storytelling in te zetten en impactvolle presentaties te geven alsook het (C-level van) bedrijven op een constructieve manier te challengen met betrekking tot hun duurzaamheidsstrategie en bijbehorende ambities.
- Je gaat steeds nauwgezet en gestructureerd te werk, waarbij je relevante stakeholders ten gepaste tijden informeert en de juiste prioriteiten weet te stellen.
