Area Sales Engineer – North East Belgium Belgium | Sales | Industrial Automation Carlo Gavazzi is a global leader in the design, manufacture, and marketing of electronic components and networked solutions for Industrial and Building Automation. Our portfolio spans Sensors, Relays, Electrical Metering, serving customers worldwide. We are currently seeking an Area Sales Engineer to drive growth and profitability across the North East region of Belgium. Your Role As Area Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for developing the regional business, strengthening distributor partnerships, and expanding demand among key customers such as OEMs, System Integrators, and Panel Builders. You will play a critical role in executing the commercial strategy and achieving ambitious sales objectives. Key Responsibilities Develop and grow sales within North East Belgium through direct customer engagement and distributor collaboration Build strong relationships with Machine Builders, System Integrators, Panel Builders, and other key accounts Drive market demand for automation components and solutions Define and execute joint action plans with Distributors, Product Management, and Sales Teams Identify market opportunities, growth potential, and optimal sales channels Represent Carlo Gavazzi at trade shows, exhibitions, and industry associations Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and market feedback to support strategic decision-making What You Bring Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering Minimum 5 years of B2B sales experience in industrial automation, controls, sensors, switches, or related products Strong technical understanding of electronic and automation components Proven ability to develop, negotiate, and close business opportunities Experience working with distributors, OEMs, and panel builders Existing industry network within the local market is a strong advantage Proficiency with CRM tools (e.g. IFS) Excellent communication skills and a strong commercial mindset Entrepreneurial, self-motivated, and results-driven Fluent in Dutch and English; French is an advantage Willingness to travel extensively within the region (up to 50–100% locally) Why Join Carlo Gavazzi?
