Function

You are responsible for the daily management of files related to Elia's existing properties in Wallonia and Brussels that require intervention from our "Property" services. You coordinate with your colleagues from the North regarding practice and experience exchanges.

This specifically includes:

  • Managing property files
    • Preparing files: You understand both internal and external questions and clearly analyze the needs; you gather all necessary information to compile a complete file; you request the required expertise; propose solutions.
    • Contacting counterparts to plan a meeting: You prepare the meeting (including defining the strategy); engage in discussions with the counterparts to obtain information and, if applicable, reach an agreement to protect Elia's real estate; write minutes of the meetings; travel for meetings and various site visits; make decisions within the scope of the mandate entrusted to you.
    • Closing the file: You handle correspondence; update databases; follow up on payments; maintain contacts with internal and external services for the follow-up of files.
  • Keeping property databases (Ecore/PRT) up-to-date, ensuring that information is available to the entire team and that the traceability of agreements is perfectly guaranteed.
  • Engaging the needed external experts for managing files (including external negotiators, land surveyors, real estate experts, architects, various companies, etc.) and overseeing the activities of the external experts, as well as the administrative follow-up with the concerned experts.
  • Managing complaints or disputes.
  • Managing the regularizations of rights that need to be obtained or renewed for existing assets, as well as the related compensations (requested by a third party, triggered by a project that provides the opportunity to regularize existing property, or proactively initiated by Elia).
  • Supporting the operational management of existing assets
    • Managing files that require maintenance or cleaning of sites (vegetation, litter, etc.);
    • Managing files for land allocation and demolition files;
    • Managing interfaces with other actors in the area (hunters, etc.).
  • Managing files for the sale of houses or land owned by Elia.
  • Supporting the inventory of Elia's existing properties.
Your Profile
  • You have a bachelor's degree and 3 to 5 years' experience in a similar position.
  • You are French-speaking with a good knowledge of Dutch. Knowledge of English would be a plus.
  • You are able to have the necessary conversations and get around.
  • You enjoy working independently but also have team spirit.
  • You can communicate in an assertive, structured way and with empathy.
  • You are administratively strong and have a good critical mind.
  • You are extremely versatile.
  • You are customer-oriented.
  • You can make decisions in compliance with procedures.
  • You have good negotiation skills.
  • You have a class B driving licence and a vehicle to get around on duty.
