About the RoleWe are looking for a highly skilled Senior Back-End Software Engineer with deep expertise in ServiceNow to strengthen our IT Development team. In this position, you will play a key role in designing, analyzing, and validating IT process automations and integrations across our technology ecosystem.This role is focused on analysis, architecture, integration design, and problem-solving — not on hands-on programming. Key ResponsibilitiesAnalyze, design, and test IT process automations on the ServiceNow platformDesign and test integrations between ServiceNow (cloud) and other on-premise or cloud applications, in collaboration with the API Gateway team.Translate business requirements into clear, value-driven technical designs.Conduct technical integration testing and validate end-to-end functionality.Investigate and resolve complex technical incidents and defects.Ensure the smooth operation and continuous improvement of integrations and workflows.Collaborate with cross-functional teams (infra, API, business, GCC) to deliver robust solutions.Required QualificationsMinimum 5 years of hands-on experience with ServiceNow, with solid functional and technical understanding.Strong technical background and analytical thinking skills.Fluent in Dutch and English.Familiarity with IT infrastructure (servers, networks, cloud concepts) and a willingness to deepen that knowledge.Understanding of JavaScript or another programming language (conceptual knowledge only).Core CompetenciesStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesExperience working in Agile environmentsIndependent, structured, and result-drivenExcellent collaboration and communication skillsEager to learn, adapt, and take ownership
