We work in a unique, open innovation pilot and demonstration facility for process development, scaling up and (trial) production of bio-based products and processes, from laboratory to multi-ton scale.


We combine a wide and flexible range of modular unit operations with a team of highly qualified and experienced bio-process engineers and technicians to translate laboratory-scale bio-based processes into cost-effective industrial processes.

Mobility rule. Not have resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in the country of the recruiting beneficiary for more than 12 months in the 36 months immediately before the recruitment date.

Be in the position of enrolling in a doctoral programme at the specific country and meet the specific eligibility requirements at the hosting institution, if applicable.

What do we expect of you?:

  • To develop more sustainable and industrially relevant downstream processing (DSP) strategies for the recovery of SAF intermediates
  • To evaluate different technologies and process conditions in terms of recovery as well as energy and material requirements
  • To benchmark the use of green solvents against current commonly used extraction systems
  • To study the possibility of solvent recycling for process intensification and to boost industrial feasibility
  • To evaluate and fine tune the developed DSP protocol through a preliminary TEA and from an environmental point of view
