Job description

Tasks:

The Business Development Assistant will work closely with the Acquisition and Project Managers and report to the Managing Director.

His/her main tasks will include but are not limited to:

  • Support in developing Prospect's pipeline and portfolio of projects: prescreen business opportunities; update and maintain the business opportunities registration tool and ensure that data is up to date and accurate to allow proper decision making; present relevant summarised information during weekly acquisition meetings.
  • Support in tender preparation: preidentify potential partners; select and tailor references; prepare legal documents; identify relevant experts; tailor CVs; support in tender writing and submission.
  • Support in developing Prospect's Network of Experts: Identify new experts; negotiate with experts (FWC); update regularly Prospect C&S expert's internal database.

Requirements and skills:

  • Bachelor's (BSc) or Master's (MSc/MA) degree in a relevant field e.g. Environment, Climate, Natural Resource Management, Political Sciences, Economics, Development studies, etc.
  • Keen interest in the main areas of Prospect's work is required; experience is an asset.
  • Previous experience in business development or knowledge of the EU funded projects framework is considered a strong asset.
  • Team player with a sense of responsibility and initiative.
  • Ability to work autonomously: handson approach, selfstarter, able to learn by doing at times with limited supervision.
  • Strong time management skills and multitasking.
  • Good writing skills and ability to prepare clear and wellstructured documents in English.
  • Good digital skills especially on Microsoft 365 including Excel, Word, Teams and Sharepoint are required.
  • Fluency in English and French, knowledge of Spanish and/or Portuguese is an asset.
  • Confident and professional communication skills.
  • Ambition to develop a career in the consulting sector.
