We are looking for a Category Lead for one of our clients in the pharmaceutical sector in Wavre.

This is a consultancy mission starting as from August 19th, 2024 until and including December 31,2024
responsabilités
You will be part of the European Procurement regional team and your main taks and responsibilities as Category Lead will be:
• Ensuring input to, and alignment with the creation of global sourcing strategies, according to local stakeholders and local markets dynamics. This in partnership with the Regional category team and the Global category teams.
• Leading large-scale, cross business unit projects to deliver solutions that are most ambitious for patients
• Identifying and delivering business benefits aligned to assurance of supply, quality, service, cost andinnovation and delivering stakeholders and business partner requirements through execution of category strategies.
• Driving operational efficiencies by ensuring Contract & Preferred Supplier list compliance as well as managingthe Tail spend.
• Delivering effective budgets (Plans of Purchase) agreed with key stakeholders and Finance in accordance with the Spend Management Framework and aligned to the global budgets together with Global and Regional category teams.
• Leading the Fleet strategic roadmap for Vx HQ & Ireland through strong coordination with Category Lead and business partners (Global FMC tender support and solution implementation), and driving local opportunities with GDC support
• Driving smooth implementation of mobility solutions (people transportation as Taxi & Shuttles) in Belgium
• Ensuring Travel, Meeting & Expenses category delivery through partners expected performance governance, and supporting various payment solutions implementations & optimizations on markets
• Demonstrating high procurement added value in supporting Ireland through strong business partnerships atLT level and delivering the opportunity roadmap
Strategy execution:
• You will align with appropriate Hub and Global category teams and work in collaboration with these teams to provide local business requirements and market information to support effective collaborative regional and global strategy creation and execution
• You will execute global sourcing strategies for multiple spend categories in scope of responsibility,operating with a truly global mindset and ensuring local inputs are accommodated
• You will have a clear understanding of how global strategies affect local markets and build an education & communication process for regional Procurement leads and business units. Be the localexpert in the spend categories within scope of responsibility
Benefit delivery:
• You will ensure financial benefits are managed in accordance with the Spend Management Framework approach, ensuring business unit and Finance agreement to financial value delivered and transparency on treatment of benefits in the budgeting process
• You will create and deliver effective budgets (Plans of Purchase) agreed with key stakeholders and Finance in accordance with the Spend Management Framework Business partnering & stakeholder management.
• You will build strategic relationships with local stakeholders (including General Managers, Finance Directors and indirect spend owners), to understand business requirements, identify opportunities to create value and to position Procurement's value proposition. Align sourcing strategies accordingly
• You will influence key stakeholders and business partners to support strategy development, endorse recommended strategies, support execution and agree how benefit delivery will be budgeted
External supplier relationships:
• You will execute and manage effective contracts with suppliers that will allow our customer to maximize opportunity globally. Ensure global views on supplier negotiations are taken
• You will manage the local supply base for the categories within scope through a robust performance management process. Ensure supplier performance is understood and measured.
• You will ensure suitable processes and communication links exist between above country supplier organization structures and local & regional networks to ensure effective process and communication cascade through supplier and our customer's network and geographies
qualifications
As Category Lead, we expect the following competencies and expertise:
• Relevant procurement experience in a highly regulated industry
• Proven track record of managing international and cross-functional projects
• Evidence of design and implementation of compelling business cases through qualitative and financial impact assessment
• Strong Influencing skills (English fluency required) and executive communication experience
• Evidence of proficient communication and influence at senior level in a complex matrix international organization
• Ability to nurture a complex network of internal and external stakeholders
