Supervisory Information Technology Specialist

Duties:
- Serves as the technical expert/authority and supervisor, serving as the Chief of the Cyber Security Division for the Regional Network Center39th Signal Battalion.
- Manages a team of cyber security professionals to accomplish all cyber security requirements across the 39th SSB Installation Campus Area Network and Network Enterprise Centers.
- Plans, designs, develops, implements and manages Cyber Security programs that meet current and future business requirements.
- Administers and monitors compliance of programs which address all aspects of operations and readiness.
- Accomplishes technical, analytical and advisory functions pertinent to the development of RNEC policies, plans and processes covering Cyber Security programs and ensures IT programs are in compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
- Represents the RNEC on management reviews and assistance visits at subordinate districts regarding CS policy and planning issues.

- Three year trial/probationary period may be required.
- Must obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET security clearance.
- THIS IS A TESTING DESIGNATED POSITION. Employee must pass screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and subsequent periodic drug screening thereafter.
- This position requires the employee to occasionally travel from the normal duty location approximately 15% of the time or less.
- Incumbent (or selectee) is required to satisfactorily complete the appropriate training and obtain the required certification/recertification for this position as outlined in DoD Publication M.
- This position requires Information Assurance Manager Level III Security Certification that must be gained within one year of employment.
- This position requires selectee to obtain and maintain a nofee passport.
- A one year supervisory trial period may be required.

- The specialized experience must include, or be supplemented by, information technology related experience (paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training, as appropriate) which demonstrates each of the four competencies, as defined:
