Beyond the big political showdowns, trade is also a highly technical topic and our reporters are expected to delve deep into the complexities of anti-dumping cases and WTO panels.
What you'll do:
- Coauthor our highly successful Morning Trade newsletter, and report for our trade policy subscription service
- Develop scoops and original story ideas, both for the subscription service and for Politico's free website
- Cover EU trade negotiations and the implications of trade policy decisions for key sectors
- Be a face of Politico's trade expertise at events and on broadcast media
What you'll need:
- Track record of rigorous reporting and scoops
- Strong understanding of how policy is made and influenced by people within governments, lobby groups and industry
- Written and verbal fluency in English
- Ability to work under pressure and on deadline
- Knowledge of other European languages is a strong plus
