As the Insights & Convenience channel Specialist in our Purina Petcare division, your main purpose is to create an accurate understanding of the Category, Channel and Shopper, by interpreting and analyzing commercial and market research data.


Your function steps away from a purely operational data crunching and combines at one hand bringing alive the omni channel business insights with the necessary business acumen, next you are responsible as channel manager for the convenience channel.

You coordinate the Convenience Channel and demonstrate the follow up on the category insights to deliver results in the convenience channel or 2° tier retail accounts.


This will come with a wide variety of responsibilities:

  • You are the expert and first point of contact both externally & internally for all panelist information / use of databases. Train new people on the panels. Coach teams to make better use of them.
  • You love to analyze market data and you continuously
    monitor business results within all Channel and segments of the category. With your influencing skills, you challenge the team to deliver targets.
  • You ensure a good diffusion of market trends, our own and competitors' performance through optimization and running of
    standard
    reports and insight sharing.
  • Based on your insightful
    templates, datasets and analyses, you support in the development of Category, Channel, Brand, Customer Plans.
  • As Channel manager, you
    coordinate the development of Convenience Channel, in collaboration with internal partners (MDO team, Sales manager, Field manager) and external partners.
  • You translate the Category Strategy into actionable
    instore solutions for the Convenience Channel and continuously
    review their effectiveness.
  • You advise retailers (in convenience channel) with
    planograms to implement the Nestle Purina shelf vision and deliver growth of our category and brands; you continuously review the
    effectiveness of our shelf vision.
  • You support the Category Management team with
    pre and post evaluations
    of trade promotions and POS activities:

You work closely together with Category management team (3 great Channel managers and 1 Shopper activator), you report to the Head of Category Management.

Of course, you interact with many other functions and colleagues within our other divisions or categories.

What profile are we looking for?

  • You love pets Why not even bring them to the officeJ
  • Approx. 3 years' experience in generating demand (Sales/Marketing,Category management), with an analytical job/project focus, working knowledge of common ITsystems and first experience to interpret market research data. Experience within FMCG or pharma is a serious plus.
  • You're a driven by curiosity to get to the bottom of things and find an answer. You get your energy not only from analyzing data, but coach also other team members on leveraging the data & insights.
  • You also love to manage projects & a channel (convenience channel) and influence people to reach your milestones on time.
