Category Development Specialist.
You will be part of our sales team based in Brussels and will report to the Shopper & Customer Marketing Manager.
Your main responsibilities:
- You develop the yearly promotional plan on brand & segment level. Align with all parties involved (Sales, Marketing, Finance, Field, Supply Chain and finally present the proposed yearly promo plan for approval to the Management Team.
- You lead the full promo process: from strategy recommendations, planning construction, execution, POS material creation (together with the Shopper Activation Specialist), postevaluation and promo budget management (together with Finance).
- You drive efficiencies in dashboarding or postevaluation tools as well as advising sales team
- You act as a highly collaborative liaison between Brand Marketing, Sales and customers to facilitate integration of all marketing and trade initiatives to ensure a cohesive marketing plan.
- You are putting in place, executing and improving processes to link all Marketing activities with the activities of the Sales team. Consult both internally and externally to gain information and insights, as well as achieve results that are aligned with corporate and functional objectives.
- You understand and combine brand and customer priorities and use the planning process to drive strategic alignment
- You support in the recommendation of SKU assortment priorities, financial guidelines and synergies across customers and category within area of responsibility.
- You support the selling process in conjunction with Marketing and Sales, including all sales communications and materials, coordinating timelines for deliverables across multiple functions to ensure Sales team is fully equipped for successful sellin.
- You plan in coordination with Marketing and Sales the support for all new launches and coordinate sales presenters & road shows for sales teams.
- You assess launch success & prepare closing report for major launches.
- You collaborate extensively with shopper marketing team to share ideas, insights and best practices.

For this role we're looking for someone who has the following skills and experience:
- You have a Bachelor or Master's degree (or equivalent experience)
- You have experience in FMCG
- You possess strong analytical skills and high accuracy, you are strong in Excel & dashboard creation
- You have some notion of financial acumen and it's a plus if you have knowledge of NielsenIQ and GfK data and PowerBI
- You are results oriented, entrepreneurial and selfmotivating profile. You have attention to detail and you are tenacious and resilient
- You have experience in project management against set deliverables
- You have the ability to prioritize and organize workloads independently when required
- You are a flexible thinker and you are able to operate in a changing environment and cope with complexity
- You have the ability to problem solve and 'make things happen'
- You have excellent communication skills and are a natural talent in building of (long term) work relationships
- You are fluent in Dutch / French / English
