Have a look at the Job Description below Our partner in Belgium is looking for a Power BI Specialist for a 6 months rolling contract (freelance).


Location is Brussels, our client works on a hybrid model (2/3 days in the office and the rest from home).


Your main duties will be the following:

  • Building new BI dashboards and provide evaluative/corrective maintenance to the existing ones, based on the changes requests received through the Change Advisory Board and the schedule.
  • Analysing data sources, identifying relevant data, and creating data models for reporting.
  • Designing and creating visually appealing and interactive dashboards, reports by using Power BI's tools.
  • Creating customised reports tailored to the stakeholders needs.

Qualifications:

If you have:

  • Master's degree + 10 years of experience as a Power BI Specialist or related OR Bachelor's degree + 14 years of experience.
  • Practical knowledge of data analysis tools and programming languages (e.g. Power BI, Kibana, QuickSight, DAX Query, SQL, Python, M Query Language, Power Query).
  • Power BI Data modelling and ETL skills with proven experience on premise and in cloud.
  • Practical knowledge of Power BI report performance optimisation techniques (e.g. query folding, optimising visuals, minimising data models).
  • Familiarity with Power BI Administration, such as gateways, user/report access, and workspaces.
  • Good knowledge of different sources integration into Power BI (including relational DBs, JSON format, website analytic).
  • Knowledge of GitLab or similar version control software.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into visualisation for better decisionmaking.
  • Good communication skills, very good command of English.
