Business context and main purpose of the job:
The Customer Management Assistant (CMA) works in the Customer Business Development (CBD) team.

The role of this team is to identify, develop & implement category development plans for all our customers and channels.


As CMA:

  • You are responsible for a group of Dutch/French speaking customers (Ahold
  • Kruidvat
  • Jumbo) for Personal Care.
  • You report to the Key Account Manager (KAM) PC Ahold and work closely with the KAMs Kruidvat & Jumbo.
  • You work closely with the KAMs, CSP Assistants, CSPs, Customer Support Team, Pricing Customer Specialists & PLC Specialists.
  • You contribute to achieving the team goals with your customer knowledge and your relations with your customers or internal relations.
  • You make sure the specific needs of the customer are identified and considered.
  • You are, in collaboration with the KAMs, responsible for drafting and executing the negotiated customer business plans.
  • You contribute to the plans (innovation, assortment, promotion) for your customers in alignment with the trade policy of the category & the company.
  • You contribute to sell through of the plan, by supporting the field team.

What will your main responsibilities be?

  • Based on the strategy (National Category & Channel), you build an action plan for the customers you are responsible for with the KAM. You know and use the specific tools of the customers.
  • You develop the promotion plans for your customers, following the promo policy & plan for your category.
  • In collaboration with the KAM, you manage volumes & price of the promotion plan in the volumeforecasting tool (VF).
  • In the volumeforecasting tool, you add the elements of the promotion
  • The consecutive steps in the promotion management process are executed by the customer support team.
  • You communicate regularly with the customer support team to assure the execution and follow up of the customer plans.
  • In collaboration with the KAMs, you use the VFtool to provide information about changes in the product assortment of your customers.
  • You participate in the execution and analysis of customer marketing at the concerned customers.
  • You are responsible for the creation of the specific assortment of your customers (displays, repack, )
  • You execute ad hoc analyses for your customers according to KAMbriefs.
  • You support the KAMs with setting up the needed materials for the field team.
  • You support & participate in meetings related to the field force.
  • You contribute to & support the implementation of conferences & events for your customers.

Who are you?

  • Minimum 2 years professional experience (sales)
  • FMCGexperience
  • Experience in closely collaborating with customers.
  • Capable of working in team & working crossfunctional
  • Knowledge about markets & products for which you are responsible.
  • Operational Excellence (OTIF) / Project management: Organizing & meeting deadlines.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset
  • Business orientation / salesminded
  • External orientation / customerminded
  • Mastering MS Office & systems (VF, Power Bi...)
  • Fluency in Dutch, French & English
