**BELAC** staat in voor de **accreditatie** van laboratoria, keuringsinstellingen en certificatie-instellingen, die producten en diensten beoordelen om na te gaan of deze **voldoen** aan welomlijnde **eisen,** onder meer op het gebied van **veiligheid**, **volksgezondheid** en **duurzaamheid**.

Deze accreditatie wordt uitgereikt na de uitvoering van een **grondige** en **succesvolle** **audit bij** laboratoria, keuringsinstellingen of certificatie-instellingen**, waarbij de deskundigheid en onpartijdigheid **van deze instellingen wordt beoordeeld.

Op die manier draagt accreditatie bij tot een **gewaarborgd vertrouwen** in de kwaliteit van producten en diensten die door deze bedrijven gecontroleerd worden en waar ook wij dagdagelijks gebruik van maken.

Het werkterrein van BELAC is zeer ruim. Denk daarbij bijvoorbeeld aan accreditaties in het kader van:

- Kwaliteitscontrole van drinkwater, opsporen van Pfas, detecteren van salmonella, controle van zwembadwater, geluidsmetingen op festivals
- Keuring van huishoudelijke elektrische installaties, liften, veiligheid van speeltuinen...
- kwaliteitscontrole van bouwmaterialen;
- ICT-oplossingen voor cybersecurity;
- Voedselveiligheidsbeheer;
- Milieubeheersystemen.
- Milieuclaims, asbestonderzoek, afvalwater, uitstoot van broeikasgassen.
- Medische bloedanalyses, prenatale testen, covid-testen, forensische geneeskunde, enz.

Als Accreditation officer mag je rekenen op een **job** met een **grote** **maatschappelijke** **meerwaarde** en een **divers uitdagend takenpakket**, binnen een **enthousiast** en **gedreven** **team**.

Je krijgt bij de start van de functie een **interne opleiding** om je te laten kennis maken met de specificaties van de functie. Daarom vereist deze functie **geen voorgaande werkervaring** en ben je ook als **enthousiaste**, **ondernemende en leergierige** **schoolverlater** meer dan welkom.
- Je bereidt **auditbestekken en beslissingen voor **in dossiers, op basis van een uitgebreide analyse en houdt hierbij rekening met de geldende reglementering en procedures.
- Je **onderzoekt de dossiers van instellingen die een accreditatie aanvragen **op technisch vlak:

- Je zorgt voor de organisatie van:

- Audits
- de aanstelling van geschikte auditoren
- de beoordeling van het auditverslag
- de voorbereiding van de beslissingen over de toekenning van accreditaties,
- Eens je vertrouwd bent met de materie en je de nodige competenties hebt verworven, coördineer je audits, evalueer je auditoren en zal je mogelijk ook zelf _**_audits uitvoeren_**_. _
- Je draagt bij aan de **optimalisatie** van de werking van BELAC:

- Je brengt **nieuwe ideeën **aan
- je past een **uniforme** **werkwijze** toe bij audits.
- Je **ontwikkelt** en **houdt** actief je **kennis up to date**:

- Je volgt de technische normen en ontwikkelingen op binnen het domein accreditatie op nationaal, Europees en internationaal niveau.
- Je **vertegenwoordigt **BELAC bij onze buitenlandse partners, in gespecialiseerde technische groepen en in internationale organisaties die actief zijn in het domein van accreditatie (vb. European cooperation for Accreditation).

BELAC is de nationale accreditatie-instelling van België en is verantwoordelijk voor de accreditaties van alle types van conformiteitsbeoordelingsactiviteiten (bijvoorbeeld: laboratorium-, inspectie
- of certificatieactiviteiten).

BELAC valt als accreditatie-instelling onder de eindverantwoordelijkheid van de Federale Overheidsdienst Economie, K.M.O., Middenstand en Energie.
