Job Title: Purchasing Assistant

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Purchasing Assistant position within a dynamic industrial company based in Brussels. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting the European Purchasing department and dealing with various commercial matters. Joining a globally active and market-leading company, you will be an essential team member.


Tasks of the Purchasing Assistant:

  • Resolve quantity discrepancies in deliveries from suppliers
  • Update orders in the system with accurate information
  • Collaborate with Engineering to ensure accurate BOMs
  • Analyze costs for accuracy
  • Maintain price books and handle price changes
  • Keep track of product prices within the system
  • Clean up and manage parts within the database
  • Perform additional tasks and analyses as needed

Ideal Profile of the Purchasing Assistant:

  • 2-3 years of relevant experience
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of German is a plus
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools, especially Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Experience with Sage software is advantageous
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work in a team and adapt to changing environments
