The
Scientific Services Specialist is responsible for ensuring visiting contractors comply with site regulations around access and HSE.
They will verify that the technician has set the instrumentation to the specification of the end user.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing working permit, badge and confirmation of asset to be accessed plus any other documentation required on site.
  • Escorting 3rd party contractors to the site and ensuring all HSE checks are completed.
  • Monitoring that all laboratory instruments, software and peripherals maintained have their documentation uptodate including logs of repairs, maintenance and validation.
  • Ensuring all tools and test equipment are calibrated and valid to perform service required
  • Occasionally supporting logistics with preparation of shipment documentation for return of parts.
  • Attend training and technical workshops. Provide support with the associated service documentation.
  • Regular communication with client end users to maintain them informed of status and any issues that may have arisen.
  • Participating in external and internal training courses for technical skills, personal development and organizational development
  • Maintaining the highest standards of health and safety, and environment on site.

Requirements:

  • Organised, with good administrative skills
  • Able to work under pressure to tight deadlines.
  • Strong customer service ethic.
  • Team player.
  • Good interpersonal and communications skills.

Languages:
French and English both spoken and written. Dutch is a plus.

  • Internet and Microsoft Windows skills (Word/Excel)
  • Experience in GMP/GLP is a plus.


You must be prepared to work in a laboratory environment with potential exposure to electrical, chemical, radiologic, and biologic hazards.

Full training will be given but must be able to work safely using universal precautions.
