About The Role:

  • Following a Series C round of funding, Malt is scaling up fast and expanding our topperforming Sales team in order to accelerate our growth.
To accompany our exponential growth in Belgium, Malt is hiring a

Dutch-speaking

Account Manager SMB in Brussels to manage our mid-market clients, especially the most promising startups and scale-ups of the Tech Flemish ecosystems.


Your role will include onboarding, reactivating, and guiding our top customers in order to guarantee our value proposition and generate new business.

You will report directly to our SMB Director EMEA:

Your missions will include:

  • Develop a portfolio of active clients within SMB accounts
  • Create longterm trustbased relationships with clients to remain "top of mind" when it comes to recruiting talents
  • Prospect C-Levels to get key insights & meetings in order to have a global vision of the account's potential
  • Accompany clients in their search to help them connect to our best freelance profiles
  • Close opportunities by ensuring the conversion of leads into projects
  • Guarantee the quality of projects posted on Malt by ensuring that requests comply with our charter of conduct put in place to protect freelancers
  • Collaborate closely with the Sourcing team on client briefs and followups
  • Closely monitor Belgium Tech trends and utilize this information to produce effective sales plans and forecasts within top accounts

Sales excellence:

  • Understand the key challenges of your market to become your clients' business partner
  • Grow and maintain a network of key players in the Belgium Tech ecosystem to accelerate your deals

Interactions and partnerships cross-teams:

  • Partner with Sourcing, Community, Marketing, and Sales Ops teams to give you leverage to sell
  • Give feedback to the Product team to improve Malt's solution according to your client's needs
  • Share best practices across all SMB Sales team

Your profile:

  • Dutch speaker with a professional level of English and are comfortable in an international environment
  • 1 to 3 years of previous sales experience ideally in SaaS platform/marketplace environment
  • You have excellent listening skills
  • You have a strong appetite for business development
  • Your curiosity and your ability to establish and formalize the short, medium and long term needs of your customers will be a real plus
  • Desire to integrate a fastpaced, intellectually stimulating, caring and demanding work environment
  • Knowledge of the tech industry (languages and frameworks) is a real asset but not required
