Who we are supporting

The NATO Communication and Information Agency (NCIA) is responsible for providing secure and effective communications and information technology (IT) services to NATO's member countries and its partners. The agency was established in 2012 and is headquartered in Brussels, Belgium.

The NCIA provides a wide range of services, including:

• Cyber Security: The NCIA provides advanced cybersecurity solutions to protect NATO's communication networks and information systems against cyber threats.
• Command and Control Systems: The NCIA develops and maintains the systems used by NATO's military commanders to plan and execute operations.
• Satellite Communications: The NCIA provides satellite communications services to enable secure and reliable communications between NATO forces.
• Electronic Warfare: The NCIA provides electronic warfare services to support NATO's mission to detect, deny, and defeat threats to its communication networks.
• Information Management: The NCIA manages NATO's information technology infrastructure, including its databases, applications, and servers.

Assistance and Advisory Service (AAS)

The NATO Communications and Information Agency (NCI Agency) is NATO’s principal C3 capability deliverer and CIS service provider. It provides, maintains and defends the NATO enterprise-wide information technology infrastructure to enable Allies to consult together under Article IV, and, when required, stand together in the face of attack under Article V.

To provide these critical services, in the modern evolving dynamic environment the NCI Agency needs to build and maintain high performance-engaged workforce. The NCI Agency workforce strategically consists of three major categorise's: NATO International Civilians (NIC)'s, Military (Mil), and Interim Workforce Consultants (IWC)'s. The IWCs are a critical part of the overall NCI Agency workforce and make up approximately 15 percent of the total workforce.

RoleDuties and Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the Cyber Project Management Section Head the contractor shall:
• Responsible for the management of NSIP projectsand, in particular,the implementation of major procurement projectsin the area ofCyber Security.
• Identify, plan, request and manage the deployment of resources to meet project milestones andinitiatecorrective actions when necessary.
• Responsible for the definition,executionand satisfactory completion of his/her projects, including preparation and submission of project proposals, contribution to source selections according to the defined procurement strategy.
• Review and agree project approach with his/her Projects Portfolio Manager following Agency processes.
• Monitor and control project progress and risk to ensure resources are consumedin accordance withthe approved budget and within the approved timelines.
• Provide regular status reports on the progress of projects to leadership, senior executives, and NATO committees.
• Take responsibility for understanding customer requirements, collecting data, delivering analysis and problem resolution.
• Proposeappropriate actionsto provide an increased level of confidence and reduce risks such that the project will meet itsobjectivesin terms of deliverables (scope and quality), schedule, and costs.
• Provide effective and positive leadership to the project team.
• Takeappropriate actionwhen project performance deviatesfrom agreed tolerances through risk management.
• Contribute to other project related activities to support thecontinuous improvement of Project Management within the NCIAgency.

EssentialSkills,Experienceand Certifications

• Recent experience as a Project Manager for a large organization- focused on the delivery of C4ISR capabilities within the defence sector;
• At least 2 years direct experience with NATO or a National Ministry ofDefensein the delivery of military, CIS, or IT capabilities;
• Skills:
• Proven ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing with good briefing skills.
• Proficient in the use of in the use of MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, and Power-BI for the visualization and communication of project status and milestones.
