Administrator advising on parliamentary business of DE language (IRC200627)

Europe of Sovereign Nations (ESN) Group in the European Parliament seeks an Administrator (AD 6) to support its Secretariat in Brussels. The role assists ESN Members of the European Parliament in carrying out their duties and helps manage parliamentary business.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in and follow up on legislative work in committees.
  • Assist Members in their functions and duties by providing opinions and advice.
  • Advise ESN Members in the BUDG and CONT committees.
  • Draft amendments, briefing notes, voting lists, minutes, summaries, analysis, notes, etc., on subjects relating to the fields of competence.
  • Ensure good contact and communication with other political groups and EU institutions.
  • Liaise with other political groups and EU institutions in the context of ongoing files.
  • Organise and follow up meetings.
  • Contribute to communication activities necessary for the smooth running of the Group.

Qualifications and Conditions for Admission

General Conditions

  • National of an EU Member State.
  • Full rights as a citizen; no criminal record.
  • Fulfilled obligations concerning military service.
  • Meet character requirements for the duties involved.

Special Conditions

  • Education: a complete cycle of university studies (four years or more) OR a complete cycle with at least one year of relevant professional experience OR university‑level professional training of equivalent level.
  • Professional experience: minimum 3 years of relevant experience after obtaining the above qualifications.
  • Language knowledge: thorough German language knowledge; very good English language knowledge; knowledge of other EU languages desirable.
  • Knowledge of EU institutions and political systems; ability to conduct conceptual analytical work; knowledge of ESN Group activities; teamwork capacity in a multinational environment.

Salary and Benefits

Successful candidate(s) may be offered a temporary contract of the type 2(c) for an indefinite period, in accordance with the Conditions of Employment of Other Servants of the European Union (CEOS). In addition to the basic salary, benefits include:
