About the Client
Our client is a global leader in e-commerce logistics, providing cross-border e-commerce logistics services worldwide with a main EU injection facility in Liege. It is a leading company in cross-border ecommerce.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance the company's customs clearance capability.
- Oversee the customs clearance process for all shipments, ensuring compliance with local customs regulations and requirements.
- Manage customs clearance documentation and procedures, including tariff classifications, valuation, and duty calculations.
- Liaise with customs authorities, agents, and relevant parties to resolve issues and ensure timely clearance of goods.
- Stay informed about changes in customs regulations, tax laws, and rules, and update internal processes accordingly.
- Train and educate staff on customs clearance processes and requirements.
- Analyze customs clearance data to identify areas for improvement and optimize processes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of front-line customs clearance experience for B2C customs.
- Proficiency in both English and French languages.
- Strong knowledge of local customs regulations, tax laws, and rules.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling customs documentation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in managing customs clearance processes is preferred.
